From the moment I confirmed my reservation, things went wrong. Booked for 2 nights. Looked at 1 bedroom suite pictures, it fit what I wanted, the price was low and it was saying that it was their last room available at this price, so I booked it. « Deluxe queen room » was on my confirmation email, but I didn’t book this room. When I searched for this room, I was really disappointed of the pictures because I wanted to treat myself to a spacious room with big windows. And seeing the photos I knew I didn’t make a mistake when booking because I never saw the pictures of the deluxe queen room while searching on the website. But since it wasn’t refundable I still went. And even from the pictures (on agoda website) of the room they got me, it didn’t look like that. It was so unkept and unclean (gaps between floor boards, broken blinds, dirty faucet, mold on the bathroom window, literally leaking AC) No desk, no reception, calling the supposed 24/7 support and the number is always « busy ». I explained my issues in the WhatsApp chat, I told them there’s mold in the bathroom and I am ALLERGIC to it, and they answered me around 2:30 am that they will take care of it. Next morning around 10 some number calls me and tell me to contact them back by message to inform them when someone can come and clean the bathroom (what about my other problems ?) I sent them a message, waited for an hour none came. I went out, came back at 11pm, the bathroom was still dirty. Again, the support number is busy. Now we are this morning (3/4/25) day of my check out. I call the number and finally someone answers me. I complain about my uncomfortable stay in their hotel, I just got a « I am sorry » that’s it. This is beyond disrespectful. I felt like a big joke to them. Going on the google reviews, I read the 1 star reviews and they pretty all went through the same experience as me. So it’s a pattern of the hotel. Greystone Colony, you should be ashamed of what you do to people. And that thing about being obliged to pay 200RM of deposit but only refundable to Malaysian bank accounts ? That’s theft. You are scammers...
Read morePlease always read the reviews before booking a place to stay. Some reviews were being fake for giving 5 star. When checking in, a deposit is required to pay upfront which is RM200. Rooms were total disaster. Better to stay at OYO hotel. When checking out, asked for the deposit. They mentioned will take 4-7 working days. When already pass 7 working days, I ask about the status of the refund. They then tell me that it would take longer. You guys are purely scamming people. Your reviews that reply to customers is just copy and paste but you don’t take action.
Your only point of contact is WhatsApp. Cannot even call anyone to attend our issue. Poorly manage. Let alone you have foreign workers taking care the key box and they don’t care but just play with their phone. Didn’t help at all. Just close down and don’t bother even advertise on Agoda and booking.com. Your pictures are deceiving and lying to customers. Should get the authorities to conduct checks on this place.
Never in my life a deposit takes so long to return back. Seriously? Deposit only can be returned in a Malaysian bank? A big bloody red flag for this place. Do yourself a favour and shut this place down before anyone dies in the hotel room with the moulds and unclean...
Read moreA condo apartment that is sublet to “Airbnb” and “agoda” bookings. 1 apartment unit is divided into 2 rooms. Checking in, there is no proper paperwork documentation with deposit needed to be paid via bank transfer or cash. A guy who doesn’t speak any English comes down to collect your cash and the digital lock access is sent to your phone. That’s it.
The building is new, which is a good thing but don’t expect a nice finishing. Corners look unfinished with exposed cement and mould mix together. The floor is popping, which causes you to trip or cut your feet.
The sub divided room is so small, you don’t even have space to lay your luggage. The worst is when a light which shines directly on my bed, exactly where my head is, is controlled by the other unit, and I have no access to. You can imagine how much of a nightmare it is. When the other unit comes through the main door, the light which is controlled outside also shines into your room. You can forget about any sound proofing as everything can be heard.
By far, just a cash cow to milk money. Don’t believe the pictures you see on agoda or Airbnb. The booking I made was not even half as close to what I got. It’s not worth your $ as you won’t get a good night...
