Thumb up to Nicholas who is one of the best watch specialists that I have ever met in the Hour Glass. He does not hard sell certain model, instead he guides you how to own your favourite timepiece.

Professional and Passionate (PP) From the way he introduces a timepiece, you can know how professional and passionate he is. He uses special tools like magnifying glass etc, to teach you how to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of the movement and workmanship. He explains in details the history of the watch brand and the reasons why the founders made the watches. From his eyes you can see he is not selling a product, but sharing a hobby to you.

Attitude- Patient (AP) Although I don’t look like a very well-to-do person, he still provided me with very excellent services. He didn’t really feel annoyed when I found difficult and took a very long time in making my decision. Instead, he assisted and guided me to make my perfect choice. This is what a client really wants.

VIP Customised services (VC) Other than the timepiece that I have bought from him, he took his initiative to analyse and classify my watch collection, and give useful suggestions on my next watches. I’m more than happy to know an SA, who treats me as a friend, instead of his client only. He should have deserved and earned more compliments from us, as well as his supervisors.

Entering a store as renown as patek philippe can be intimidating, especially when you know you won’t be affording one anytime soon,

But being curious about watches (and my lack of watch knowledge) led me to muster the courage to walk straight in to learn more about it

And considering that I know very little in details about watches, my attendant (Jimmy) understood my concerns, eased my nerves (maybe unknowingly so), and educated me on watches and how to appreciate the fine details without judgement of my current status. Encouraged me to try some of them, and provided a great lesson and experience regardless of my tax bracket XD.

Made me feel comfortable, very informative, and even gave me a “goodie bag”, containing their booklet on their available models and watch case on my way out, not to mention the complimentary light cleaning for any watch you brought in.

(The only complaint I would have, is that the bag unfortunately does not include one of their watches)

Jokes aside, even if you don’t have the courage to, I would implore anybody with the slightest interest to try to learn and appreciate the craft that not only goes into the watches but the service they provide. Well recommended!...
