The cruise tour is ok... Compared to before MCO the river is much cleaner and does not have foul smells anymore. Applause to the Melaka government for that.
As for the ticket price, for RM 25 as a local malaysian I feel it's overpriced.. There is no doubt some part of the river view is upgraded and has many lights but still we are local malaysian and it's not really worth it.
Sometimes I wonder how long we need to wait for the tour boat to start at each session.. according to the security the boat only will move when there are 40 passengers. We have to sit there and wait almost an hour for the boat to start which is ridiculous and not only we locals whine about it.. there are some tourists which do not know what happens at all .
As for the pic I took.. we waited from nobody till there were enough 2 boat passengers, only the boat driver slowly came out from the counter .. (and I thought we were going on the boat that left before us.) But no...
For those tourist and people who wanted to try the cruise.. This is what I suggest... If you don't see any people waiting in line and if you don't like to wait long.. go somewhere else and don't waste your precious time sitting there just to wait the boat.. I realize for the time I wasted there... I can use that time to go tour on trishaw rather then sit there for nothing.
Even Menara Taming Sari (which the price had never change still RM15) but they give complimentary drinks.
I hope they will adjust the price and the timing in the future.. (even though I doubt they will even care less about this.) But anyway, this is my 2 cent review for the guest and tourist if you plan to go on this...
Read moreReally disappointed with the staff's attitude towards foreigners. We bought tickets for a family of 4 and waited half an hour for the boat. When it arrived and we tried to board we were told that we did not 'sit in the right place to queue' so they let the boat go without us - it was half empty and we could easily have boarded. When we confronted the lady (who had been eating chocolate and playing on her phone while we waited - and could have informed us we were waiting in the wrong place but didn't) just said 'I'm just doing my job'. When we asked the ticketing office for a refund they actually laughed at us and said 'no refunds, you can sit in the right place and wait 30 minutes for the next boat' We felt like we were being punished. There was another foreign family with a really small baby who had been waiting in the wrong place too and they had the same problem. When I asked them point blank 'Ok how can you help? What can you do to help us? They just shrugged and said 'You can sell your ticket to someone else'. When I said I would be writing a bad review - Again they laughed and said 'Ok good luck'. We walked away having lost RM100, feeling terrible and I would even go as far as to say racially profiled. VERY UPSET. Would NOT recommend and will NOT be back. (I would give 0 stars but it...
Read moreWe bought our tickets for a family of five including one PWD and had a very bad experience. Without any indication from the salesperson, we waited at the place dedicated for wheelchairs. At boarding time, we thought we would board first, like in any decent transport company. Instead, the attendant staff asked if anyone valid queued in the waiting line, none of course because we were not advised. Then he made us the last in the queue, after other passengers who obviously bought their ticket after us. As the boat was full, we had to wait for the next boat. What a shameful treatment of PWD !
Apart from this, all to know that there is no discount for PWD and senior citizen if you are...
