It was clearly a deception, from the photos. ||The check-in was standard, not particularly welcome. We booked a so called superior room. We were given a tiny double room, basic without external window (only a window on the staircase when’s everyone can look in your room). Really too small, you can only walk around a too small double mattress (is it even standard size??). It was not even long enough, and my feet were outside the mattress, and I am not so tall (185). The decoration inside the room is non-existent, not even a local touch or a design touch. No even a "ginger" homemade fresco;) ||There is a TV set with ca 8 channels, all not well tuned at all, not even one proper channel was well-tuned. In the room, there is no USB plugs. Only one switch for the bed lights on one side (not convenient). The aircon was not giving enough air cold temperatures. There is a kettle in the room, a safe box, and a mini fridge wrongly enclosed in a cupboard (hence high temperatures around it). ||The bathroom is well done, modern, clean. Excellent shower. ||Breakfast is fine. ||Despite this hotel is new, you do not feel any particular ambiance there, or let’s say a neutral, simple, basic decoration.||There are so many other hotel choices around that you could choose instead at even better prices.||The morning, we were involuntary awaken once by loud discussions coming from the personnel at the reception, just below our room, we did not like it.||Another unusual thing: you have to pay upfront at check-in your several nights... instead like in any hotel elsewhere at...
Read moreI simply adore this boutique hotel. It offers a great location near popular attractions, excellent amenities, and a delightful staff. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable and pleasant stay in the area.
It was a pleasure of staying at this pleasant boutique hotel on the fringe of Jonker Walk. The location was fantastic, as it was close to the famous Red Tarbush buskers and only a short walk away from Masjid Kampung Kling, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Additionally, the River Melaka was conveniently situated just at the rear of the hotel.
One aspect that stood out to me was the hotel's provision of free car parking for residents. This was a great convenience for those who had their own vehicles.
The rooms at the hotel were more than decent, providing a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The well-designed toilets were also worth mentioning, as they were clean and well-maintained. The water pressure in the showers was impressive as well, ensuring a satisfying bathing experience.
The staff at the hotel, particularly Killa, Zanariah, and Shakeeb, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Their warm and welcoming attitude made my stay even...
Read moreI booked on 1 September for 3 nights for a cost of 502myr. I received my confirmation of booking which stated that I would pay the full balance upon check-in and that a deposit would be taken at check-in. I arrived to check-in and was told by a friendly and kind clerk that my booking had been cancelled. As it turns out, the hotel had attempted to take a deposit on my credit, even though the booking confirmation said they wouldn't, and my card declined the transaction. That all happened on 1 September, as the clerk told me that the deposit is generally taken at the moment of booking. Then, today, on 13 September they tried to contact my bank to find out why the transaction had been declined. The bank was no help and the hotel cancelled my booking. They didn't call me, which I understand because I wasn't using a local number. They didn't email me. No notification. No booking.
Don't go...
