Compass Lounge Sliema — Attraction in Sliema

I went for a drink and possible dinner with my wife and my brother and his wife, occasion was a Master degree of Electronics and Microsystems of my daughter. So it wasn't just an ordinary going out... Also I know some personality from the restaurant and I was hoping that we can get perfect service - it happened totally different! We ordered drinks and only that part was fast. Then after a while we ordered food and we were waiting almost full hour to bring us!!! Amazing thing was that some other guests got their orders faster than us, even that they came and ordered after us!!! It's not good for the restaurant with this kind of reputation so my suggestion is to check up what the kitchen stuff is doing - obviously there is something wrong 🤔 I'm really sorry for these words but I had to say this because I'm client there since long time ago, more than 5 years and I'm afraid that if You don't change anything, it may be that I will change my favourite place and go somewhere else to enjoy in better service. Hopefully you will react according to what I wrote....

Most of the times you reach for your phone to share an opinion when you’re surprised either in good or bad way. It wasnt any different this time. Thank god I was starving. I ordered compass pappardelle, the name slightly suggests thats their specialty if we are talking of pasta. Unfortunately the pasta tasted like classic chicken broth besides containing a lot of ingridients you cannot see in this soup. Vegan pizza I also ordered was sligtly above uneatable, thank god for salt and olive. The service was a last chance to save entire experience bus miss waitress yawning during giving us only one menu even though we came in two people didn’t enjoy being there, so as we. It’s good there is a toilet but the smell and mess inside I expierienced was worse than this only when I enterem Toi Toi next to construcjion site. You can honestly close your eyes and point a finger in any direction to find a place that wont waste your time, money and...

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. We waited over 30 minutes just for a simple bruschetta, and when it finally arrived, it was absolutely drenched — soggy, falling apart, and completely unappetizing. It’s baffling how such a basic starter could be so poorly executed.

On top of that, the service was abysmal. The waiting staff was incredibly slow and didn’t check on our table even once during our entire visit. We were left sitting for long stretches of time without so much as a glance from anyone working there. No updates, no water refills, nothing.

There was clearly no sense of urgency or attentiveness, and it made for a frustrating and disappointing meal. Definitely won’t be coming back — and I’d recommend others think twice before wasting their time here.
