It’s hard to write a review of and experience that you never actually got a chance to experience, but wanted to provide insight as to this company‘s lack of customer service. I pre-booked/prepaid a 60 minute JetSki rental for my family about a month before our vacation. The morning of the tour, I reached out to the tour provider and inquired if they had a place to Store valuables, as we were going in our swimsuits for our jet skiing. I did not receive a response back. We arrived at check-in approximately 15 to 20 minutes prior to the tour and were asked for our credit card. I asked what the card was needed for since we had prepaid for the tour and they said it was for the “optional insurance and gratuity“. I said I did not want to purchase the optional insurance and was told I still had to provide a card. I told them we did not bring it as I did not hear back from them that morning, but my husband could run back to the hotel and get it if needed, or they could certainly use the card on file since I had pre-booked everything online. We were told to wait while they contacted their manager manager/owner.
Just before 10 AM, which was the time of our reservation, the same gentleman yelled out, “everybody ready to go jet ski?“ And began walking with everybody down toward the Jets skis. He called out a very shoulder that “you need to bring a card and, you’ll need to contact the company to reschedule”. I called back that it would be writing a bad review about the customer service - or lack thereof - provided.
I went back to my room and emailed the company at about 10:10 AM, inquiring about a refund or rescheduling. I received a reply. Email back fairly quickly saying “it is done”. I replied back, asking what was done – if they were issuing a refund to worry if I was being rescheduled, and was then told that because I said I would write a bad review they would not offer a refund or reschedule. They also said they would dispute this review.
We went back down to the beach and rented from Big Boys on the spot, who provided incredible service and even Had a drone photographer/videographer to capture images from the tour. I would certainly book with them again, but would never book with Sea...

They never asked if it was a first time or experienced. When we finally made it back another guest said those waves are much bigger than they seem. Had we known that, we would've canceled. They tell you pay $40 cash non refundable or $100 refundable deposit for insurance. The instructions from the guy were on, off and shown the throttle and to go out and left in direction. That's it!! They give you a waiver to sign and they can't throughly explain anything due to lack of English. They didn't provide instructions until AFTER you paid and signed the waiver which is a violation. We were out and because it was such big waves, when we turned to go back the other way the jet ski hit a big wave and flipped us over. That was NOT our fault. They were no where to be found and another person had to go wave them down.
They come back and told my husband to not flip the ski back over. Then leave again to come back. We found out why. They told us since it was flipped over so long water was in it and we had to pay. First he say $500 then he say $400. But you had our $100 deposit or we could've paid $40 and that would've covered it. So why didn't the $100 suffice?!? They kept saying it wouldn't start but it did. Then they said but it won't start again. It was BOGUS. All lies. Back to being in the water. They provided an oversized vest for me. Twice my size. I'm not a great swimmer and was drifting further and further away and they DID NOT HELP! Literally told my husband not to start the ski up until finally I screamed and he snatched his hand and came to get me. I cannot believe they sat there watching me as if they didn't understand the word help. I even said Ayuda!!! He kept waving me to swim. I shook my head and said I can't and this idiot shrugged his shoulders. I was FURIOUS!! We had somewhere to be at another excursion we couldn't cancel or I would've stayed to fight that extra charge. We have been visiting Cabo every year for the past 15 years, but our recent experience with Sea Cabo Activities was the worst. Upon checking in with the Sea Cabo Activities staff near the Pueblo Sunset Rose hotel area, we provided our credit card for security deposit withhold. Within 5 minutes of driving the jet, it started beeping with a small red light flashing, eventually completely shutting down due to running out of gas. Stranded in the middle of the ocean, we came across their camera men who offered to switch jets, which we agreed to.
On our way back to the beach, some company dude started screaming at us, saying it wasn't a gas issue but our "improper driving." Yeah, right. The kicker? But hold up, the drama didn't end there. Later on, they had the audacity to rudely accuse us of colliding into the original jet and scratching up both rides. Boom! Why didn't they accuse us of giving them a neck pain during the collision?
No matter how we argued with them, they refused to release our security deposit. To add insult to injury, the next day, they infuriated us by charging an additional $1,900 to our credit card without any prior notice. And mind you, that's in dollars, not Mexican Pesos. We've taken this up with our credit card company. This is a complete scam, and it seems like we were unfortunate enough to be the target of their setup.
Addition to my previous review: The explanation they provided below is utterly ridiculous. The gas indicator on the left side of the screen didn't show any bar at all. The red light started flashing right after we left the beach, and a few minutes later, it began beeping and eventually shut down. Regarding the alleged crash, we didn't collide with anyone; did you even hear a bang? After checking the reviews on TripAdvisor, numerous accusations point to them wrongfully charging customers whatever they want.
