This place is absolutely fantastic! We came here to get massages and then maybe get breakfast. The massages were phenomenal, the staff was excellent, and you just can’t beat the views or the price! After feeling amazing after the massages, we did choose to stay for the food - and I’m so glad we did! The food itself was fantastic. We got the hot cakes and the omelette. We also got 2 mimosas. Simple food - but fresh, seasoned well, and made well. Our friendly waiter, Agus, checked on us frequently and made sure all our needs were met. The manager, Katherine, was attentive and also stopped by to make sure we were being taken care of. The views here are incredible and they are in a great position right on the sand. They have sun loungers and umbrellas on the sand so you can hang out there and come and go into the water as you please. The bathrooms were nice and clean. While we were eating breakfast, we noticed the boat tours to go out to El Arco - we asked a staff member, Eduardo, about them. We had planned to leave The Sand Bar and then try to go to the public access beach and find one of these tours, but Eduardo was able to speak to the tour guides for us and get a trip all set up. He made that part of our trip so much easier. After our boat trip we decided to go back into The Sand Bar and try the lunch menu as well. We got the shrimp ceviche (ceviche de camarón). It was one of the best ceviches I’ve ever had and the chips they paired with it were fantastic too. Our waiter this time, Ryan, was just as friendly and helpful as everyone else. In total, we spent nearly all day here. Without tips, we spent about $135 USD for 2 massages, 3 meals, and some awesome memories! Thank you,...
Read morePretty disappointing experience. I was excited to finally eat after a late start to my day and disciplining myself to get a workout in before, so at this point I was ready to get my grub on. The view was amazing, service was great, everyone was so nice and the women giving massages were friendly with customers. I was looking forward to an opportunity for a massage after eating. Then it went downhill from there as my order was immediately taken but 20+ minutes went by before my non-alcoholic drink came and only after a waiter noticed I was sitting at a bare table for so long that he offered to retake my entire order. 45 mins into being seated, I finally received my shrimp tacos to immediately discover A HAIR. I usually shrug things like this off but at this point I was so pissed. I refused the tacos and payed for my drink. The waitress looked bewildered when I showed her but NEVER apologized. She was like 'you won't be charged'. OBVI, MIJA. I don't think me being Latina, speaking in Spanish, and dressed in gym wear had anything to do with it but it was annoying for me to see the typical tourists have a better experience, especially because I was dining alone :(. Some who were seated after me received their orders before me. I'd be weary of the beach strip in general. Either the food is mediocre or too expensive. Don't just stick to here because there are many beautiful places off the strip that deserve your business: Outpost, Cafe Distrito 23410, Casasola Cafe & Brunch, Los Claros, El Huerto Farm to Table...
Read moreOur experience at The Sand Bar was nothing short of incredible from start to finish. We began with massages that were easily some of the best we’ve ever had—not just on vacation, but anywhere. The massage therapists were skilled, professional, and genuinely cared about creating a relaxing and restorative experience. The setting was peaceful and comfortable, and for the quality of service we received, the price was more than fair. It felt like a hidden oasis of calm and care.
After our massages, we decided to stick around for drinks and food—and we’re so glad we did. The cocktails were expertly crafted, refreshing, and full of flavor without being overpowering. Each drink felt like a little celebration in a glass. When it came to the food, every bite impressed us. The dishes were vibrant, flavorful, and beautifully presented—clearly made with fresh ingredients and attention to detail. Whether you’re in the mood for something light or indulgent, the menu had something to offer.
On top of it all, the atmosphere was just right—laid-back and welcoming with a touch of beachy charm. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and you could tell they truly enjoyed making guests feel at home.
Whether you're looking for a relaxing spa experience, a great meal, or just a chill place to sip a drink and unwind, The Sand Bar has it all. We left feeling refreshed, full, and already talking about when we could come back. Highly, highly recommend this spot—you won’t be...
