Our vacation vibe/requirements: relaxing vibe with good atmosphere/aesthetic, walkable to town/restaurants, swimmable beach with beach chairs/umbrellas, we typically prefer boutique hotels over big resorts Bahia was a perfect choice! Pros: *Close to beach and town (about a block to the beach and they offer golf cart rides if you want) *Never had a problem getting pool chair/umbrella *The American breakfast was included with the room (eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes) and 50% off the rest of the breakfast menu *Beautiful beach club/beach restaurant Cons: *On weekend days the beach club is like a party scene with loud house music which we didn’t love. Was calm the rest of the week *At the beach you will get approached about every 3 minutes by vendors trying to sell something.. Definitely tiresome! They will even yell at you beyond the ropes of the beach club to try and sell you things *Rooms are fairly sparse (photos are accurate so can’t really fault them for this), could use a bit more charm *Restaurant service at the hotel was always a bit slow, but staff was super nice. We found sitting at the bar top was mush faster service wise *We got a two bedroom suite and the bedrooms were upstairs with kind of an attic feel and they had no windows which was a bit concerning. Would not have been allowed to be rooms in the US given fire laws Overall a great stay! We walked by all the other hotels that had been on our list and were glad we went with Bahia!

Stayed here for 5 days with a wedding party, who was able to get us a discount rate. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower was hot with great pressure, the staff at the restaurant and front (bell men) were very nice and helpful. The Bahia restaurant had a nice breakfast included that we enjoyed everyday. Room service was a joke. My friend told me they ordered and received food only once of the two times they ordered. I figured, that must have been a fluke. I ordered on the last night of my stay and it took 5 calls to get them to answer (ok probably busy) then the lady takes our order and then hangs up with confirmation. We call back and continue to get transferred to room service where they either pickup and leave the phone sitting the or don’t answer. No joke I called 15 times to confirm that I ordered and nothing. I figured order was placed and to just wait. One hour goes by and I start calling again and they told me they never got my order.. needless to say we went out to eat after 1.5 hours went by and I was trying to enjoy room service. Another thing, the wedding party booked several rooms months in advanced and last minute they told the wedding party not all the rooms were available. This lead to the brides mother/father having to stay at another hotel, they were not happy about this and the hotel said it was not their fault

My husband & I always celebrate our anniversary with an annual trip to Cabo, and our stay at Bahia Hotel & Beach House was one of our favorites / if not the best time we've had! First off, the Bellmen & Front Desk are so welcoming & friendly. We arrived well before check-in time so our room wasn't ready, but greeted us with a glass of rose & got us all checked in & set up so we could get to our room as soon as it was ready. They have bathrooms right off the lobby, so we were able to quickly change & head out to the pool and beach. The rooms are clean & modern. We had a room facing the street and it was quiet, even on a Friday & Saturday night. The beds were super comfortable and the room comes stocked with plenty of amenities (at a cost, obviously), hair dryer, La Labo toiletries and super comfy robes. The location is superb and very walkable. Literally a block from the beach & all the waterfront beach clubs, and 5-min walk to the marina if you're renting a boat or meeting a tour. All of the staff we interacted with - whether at the coffee shop (which had quick service & an incredible menu) to the pool bar - everyone was lovely and always available. We are already planning our next trip back to Cabo, and returning to Bahia!!

Stayed at Bahia Hotel 5 nights. The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds, split AC and good shower. So you might be wondering why I gave only 2 stars. If it was only about the room, I would give 5 stars but everything else about this hotel was a disappointment.

First let’s start with the beach house. We found during check-in that you need to make reservations in advance to use the beach house and they were fully booked. We told them that we didn’t come to Cabo to stay in our rooms and that we were hoping to use the beach house. They were courteous and put us in a waiting list, but for the 5 days of our stay we didn’t get any call back and didn’t get to use the beach house at all. You can still go to Medano beach, but you are on our own to rent umbrellas and deal with beach howkers. This is not a big deal but the problem is that we had false expectations that this hotel had beach facilities. Everything from the hotel description to the pictures imply they have this beautiful area at the beach that you can enjoy. It’s a lie.

Second, the breakfast. We booked our rooms with included “continental breakfast”. They serve breakfast in the Esquina restaurant next to the lobby. Every day we headed to the restaurant and we waited. Then waited some more. Then waited a little more. Then someone would come to take our order. We would explain we were staying at the hotel and had breakfast included in our room rate. Then we waited, and waited, and waited some more. Well, by this point you got the idea. There was a lot of waiting. But that’s not the worst. When the food came it was literally two slices of toast, a glass of orange juice or coffee and a little bit of fruit. That’s it. That’s what they call “continental breakfast”. It was so little food that we had to order a side of scrambled eggs which they (over)charged separately.

Which brings me to the third complaint: everything is overpriced in this hotel. The Esquina restaurant and SUR Beach House are both priced like they are a Michelin-star restaurants. Everything in the room is also overpriced. They charge 60 pesos (about 3 dollars) for a single capsule of Nespresso. I don’t remember the last hotel I stayed that doesn’t offer complimentary in-room coffee. Then you are forced to pay a daily “resort fee” at checkout. This is listed in the hotel description, but I wonder why this hotel charges a resort fee. It’s not even close to being a resort. The swimming pool is tiny and empty most of the time.

Conclusion: If you are looking for a clean bed close to the beach this is the hotel for you. Get the room without the included “continental breakfast” and go have breakfast somewhere else. Forget about the beach house and go have fun at your own in Medano or any of other beach in Cabo. Don’t create expectations of resort-like beach facilities, or you will get frustrated (like I did).

PS: the staff was (mostly) friendly so this review is mostly about the (disappointing) beach facilities and overcharged prices at the...

I am a frequent solo traveler and have never been to a place where I did not feel safe inside my hotel room. There were two occasions during my stay where the non housekeeping staff walked into my room without knocking or announcement. The first incident I had just gotten out of the shower and my door just opened. The security chain was latched and the lady apologized and closed the door. I called the front desk they stated that the staffer was unaware that the room was occupied. I let that slip up go... The next evening I had falling asleep across my bed and woke up to my door being slammed shut. When I get up. My door is unlocked and I see a man walking away from my door. My door was now unlocked with the security chain off (both of these are ALWAYS locked). When I called the front desk to report the second incident. I was told that the staffer thought I had requested turn down service but was mistaken. No one could explain to me why or how these incidents happened and no one can explain to me why the staffers did not at the very least knock before entering my room as housekeeping did each day. I asked for the General managers information as the guest services Damaraus seemed dismissive of the situation when I visited the front desk shortly after. She did offer a free night on my next visit but there will be no next visit. I have an early morning flight and it was about 8pm when this incident happened. I contemplated checking out then and heading to the airport but opted to just prop the chair and ironing board under the door handle in case someone else decided to let themselves in. I am now unable to relax and won't be getting any sleep here this last night but luckily won't be here much longer. Being a solo traveler I definitely will not be returning and suggest a different hotel when visiting Cabo.

Observation: The dead bolt secured from the inside automatically unlocks when someone enters from the outside with a keycard. The security chain did not secure on the...

I just came back home from a four day stay in this Hotel. I strongly recommend it. I usually stay away from big resorts because I hate the all inclusive food and the lack of service. I had hesitations booking this hotel because is not a beach front property but after reading the good reviews I gave a try and I'm super happy I did!

Customer service is AMAZING. from the bell boys to the pool bar everyone greets you with a smile and are there to really enjoy your time. Shut out to Rafa from the front desk who made us feel VIP and gave us some bomb recommendations for fish tacos. Also amazing service by Jose Luis and Alberto at the coffee shop located in the restaurant, coffee is great, conversation is fun and pastries are to die for (don't leave without trying the red croissant filled with cream cheese. Kudos to Carlos our pool bar man who kept us happy and hydrated too! Also this pool bar won't serve you nasty frozen food or college snacks they have tuna tartare and great guacamole.

You can use the Hotel beach house SUR located on Medano beach,is 5 min walk from the hotel or you can always get a ride in a golf cart from the lobby. The minimum consumption is 500 pesos roughly 35 bucks and the food is GREAT. Please try the octopus tacos, the tuna chicarron, and my sister said the SUR hamburger was amazing too. Beach is public so you can check other spots if you want to and you can book any activity there.

The hotel is also a 10 minute walk from Downtown so we never needed a taxi, we went out and we always felt safe.

Last but not least make reservations for the Hotel Restaurant, "La Esquina" Food and drinks are amazing and is one of the best restaurants in Cabo area. Overall, I would go back in a heart beat, honestly congratulations to the whole team that works at the Hotel I can tell they really enjoy what they do and I loved every minute of my staying there and I am sure we will...
