Only for people who enjoy shapes and colors but don't care for taste. Seriously - all people were recommending me this place. Word Amandine was repeated like mantra. I believe it could be good place once. But like often in Marrakesh - nothing is forever. Owners start to think that it is possible to live only by fame. So OK - place looks nice and sweets looks nice too. But I was giving it try few times. None of patisserie was good. Macaroons - well, they are shaped like them but the are definitely not macaroons. Salty option - only chicken/lemon was edible. Bread - mediocre. Viennoiserie is pretty good. And all that for high price. I will comment service in the sop very shortly - the worse. Very impolite and treat you like you don't know anything. Born to be princess just by accident selling sweets now. On top of that - one of highest prices in city I believe they must cover expenses somehow. Only for those who care about look, not taste. All around you have so many nice patisseries, both traditional and posh ones that seriously Amandine is waste of time in my opinion. Unless they will go back for what it used to be (if the myths...
Read moreWe recently threw a party in Marrakech for 20 friends to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and Patisserie Amandine made the most amazing cakes for us. I contacted them from England via their Instagram and arranged everything the week before. Communication was great and I was really happy with their suggestion of two cakes which each served 10 people. The reality was even more impressive – the fantastic Royal Chocolate praline cake and the most stunning St Honoré Croquembouche were absolutely beautiful and tasted even better! We and our guests were totally blown away by how delicious they were. Complete with personalised decoration I couldn't be happier with the service they gave – even messaging me after the weekend to ask if we were happy – we were very happy indeed! Thank you so much! Highly...
Read moreOn a normal day i would have rated my experience 5 out of 5. Except i was greeted with an unpleasant surprise. Amandine messed up a birthday cake which was supposed to be a Framboisier instead of a Royal. The person in charge of my order kept telling that i must have forgotten and didn't even bother to apologize when I insisted that the Framboisier is the only reason I chose them over other pastries. Factoring in the price difference and having to pay extra for a mini framboisier for the birthday girl + The total lack of accountability, blaming customers for their errors. All of this made my experience all the less enjoyable. I would recommend Amandine for in-store orders, but i can't say the same about phone-orders. Hopefully they sort this problem so as not to mess up...
