Le Loft — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

We were really looking forward to eating here, the service from the female waitress was great however the food was not so good. We had to send our steak back because it was awful and in turn they charged us extra for our bottle of wine. When we told the server, he said we were wrong and we showed him the menu, where he realised we were telling the truth. The female staff were extremely embarrassed by his actions. My partner left a review of this just below and they responded saying that we are "mistaken", therefore I have added the photos to prove that we were at their restaurant.instead of just apologising, they made us feel like liers. They could have just apologised and that would have been it, but instead they didn't want to take the blame. We let them keep the extra money because we didn't want the hassle, but made sure that they knew WE KNEW! Furthermore, the lamb shank was OK, not soft or slow braised as it seems they just left our food on the side to sit when we asked if we could have a gap between our starters and main. wouldn't recommend, there are better place for better value...

A Moroccan filmmaker friend invited me and three other people for dinner at Le Loft restaurant, a short walk from our hotel in the Gueliz area of Marrakech. Apparently this restaurant is one of his favorites in the city. We sat up near the entrance and were promptly brought our menus.

After ordering our appetizers and main courses, my friend ordered a red wine. The food was generous and well prepared.

I liked the tall ceilings and comfortable seats with back cushions. The background music was a bit loud but it was promptly turned down low when we told our waiter that it was too loud to carry on a conversation.

My filet mignon was on the small size but cooked more well done than medium, as requested, but still delicious. The French fries were hot and crispy. My friends had liver and leg of lamb which also was tasty and tender.

I highly recommend trying Le Loft restaurant when in Marrakech. It is near the well-known Grand Cafe de la Poste restaurant. There is no smoking inside, however there are two tables outside the entrance where...

Very good and authentic French food. Ambiance is wonderful! Beautiful restaurant inside. Service is great. They give olives and bread for starters. Bread is warm. The entree ravioli was delicious as was the Normandy chicken which comes with mashed potatoes. The dessert was PERFECT! The chocolate fudge cake and vanilla ice cream was so light but yummy! The floating island was amazing!! Floating island is made with egg whites. Its so light and airy. If you try only 1 dessert, try the floating island. Its very light & probably healthier than any other dessert on the menu. So delicious.

Only thing is, people can smoke indoors, which we found to be annoying. I understand it's the culture & its ok to smoke inside but it really bothered us. Thankfully we came...
