Gio’s Curacao — Restaurant in Curaçao

Stopped here for a cool down break and a pick me up after a long day of walking around Willemstad. The coffee was amazing and the ice cream was as well. The staff were friendly and the prices were great. Easily the best coffee and ice cream we have had in this port and much cheaper than most other places which charge 8 dollars or more for a double ice cream scoop (this place charged 4.50 for 3)

The "plastic' spoon is actually an Italian made spoon from recycled materials that is biodegradable and recyclable.

The flavours are plentiful and delicious.

Seating is abundant and offers great sea side views outside and nice air conditioned tables inside.

Wish I would have found this place sooner after paying extravagant prices all day for coffee and ice cream - Gio's Is a better quality alternative at a much better price. Three scoops of ice cream, an Americano and a delicious iced coffee was 12 bucks and change

This will be my go-to spot if I ever return to Curacao and I hope they don't change a thing. In fact I wish I had one back home, I'd be there...

I visited to buy ice cream and wanted to taste the Stracciatella flavor, which my daughter’s friend had ordered. However, the tasting portion I received was extremely small , almost as if it wasn’t meant to give a real impression of the flavor. I even thought it might be a joke at first because the portion was laughable almost in an insulting way.

When I asked confirmed if that it what they are giving me as a tasting sample , the staff member suggested that I could taste from my daughter’s friend’s cup instead 🤨and emphasized that customers are allowed only one tasting.

I completely understand if there’s a policy in place about limiting samples, but it would be more customer-friendly to either provide a reasonable tasting portion that allows a true sense of the flavor, or to consider implementing a small tasting fee (for example, one guilder) for additional samples up to 3 maybe?

Good customer service is also about how the experience makes people feel. I decided to not order for myself, but besides that, my daughter’s friend loved...

We were walking around the area and spotted this place from across the street—decided to stop in for an espresso, and I’m so glad we did. The staff was super professional and attentive. I had an affogato the first time, and it was so good that I ended up coming back every day of our vacation to start the morning with an oat cappuccino.

They serve their espresso with a small sample of one of their ice creams and a little cup of water, which is such a nice touch. The coffee and ice cream were both amazing, and the shop itself is modern, clean, and just has a great vibe. Highly recommend...
