I understand that this hotel recently remodeled, and I respect that, it I wouldn't call the room I had as a suite. My family stayed in one of the "suites" for three nights and it was not like other Novotel suites we have stayed at before. To enter, you step off the street into a small room that is accessible by anyone and wait for an elevator that is available to anyone till late in the evening when a key card is required. The lobby is very trendy with no front desk...only two computers with two attendants. If there is a number of people waiting to check-in, then you are to wait in the waiting/breakfast area. At first, we were not excited for how open this breakfast area was, but by the end of our stay we were ok with the setup. The room was a lot smaller then we expected. The arrangement of the room did not work well for two adults and two kids (10&7). The sofa was also a trundle bed, but when opened caused for a lack of space to walk from the entry to the bed. Also, the TV was in the only area it could be, which blocked access to one side of the bed. To devise the room, there was only a thin curtain that was not usable. With the only toilet at the entry to the room and the bed being around the corner, pulling the curtain closed was not an option at night...unless you wanted to walk into it and wake everyone up as you become entangled. The bed was very firm with ok pillows. On both sides were built in nightstands that had reading lamps and power outlets. On the side of the bed nearest to the bath, you also had light switches that controlled all the lights in the sitting area other than the one over the wet bar and the WC. The bath area was nice with both a shower and a bath tub. The shower had a high step up into it, which included an odd slope design that was where the drain was. Cleaning staff made the beds and changed out the towels but never replaced the coffee, tea, creamer, tea biscuits, or free bottle of water...we had to ask the front desk worker to get replacements each evening. The breakfast that is served (and paid for) was the smallest assortment of food items from any of our stays at a Novotel, but we still found enough to eat even as they ran out of most items long before the end of the breakfast time. I would only recommend staying here if you did not have kids for an easier time, but it isn't really a bad place to stay...just there are other options. Maybe this will become better later on as this is a new concept hotel, but for now it isn't one I would go back to just yet.

Great Hotel in the center of den Haag. The room was absolutely amazing. Very large and cleverly designed. There's a separate Toilet, which makes it great for traveling couples, so no one is blocking the bathroom. Speaking of which, it has a bathtub and a shower, with overhead rain shower. The furniture are modern and in good condition. There is so much space, its awesome. My room had a view over the Marktstrat, which was great during the Christmas season. Free wifi, tea kettle, and also a smartphone to take with you for city trips. So you have internet and phone at hand, in case your roaming data plan doesn't cover the eu. What I really liked was the lobby, they call it the living room. There is infinite free coffee and water, and you also can get fruits, chocolate or alcohol there. They had two of my favorite scotches, which is amazing. The staff there is extremely friendly and on point when it comes to service. I was there on a business trip, and needed to work over night. I forgot my mouse at home, so I asked the staff of they have one at hand. So Walden, a super helpful and friendly guy went to find one for me, and I could work on an urgent project. Thank you Sir, you literally saved me this day. I also like the quick check in and out, and that the lobby has power outlets everywhere, so I could work there for hours. Next time I visit den Haag again, novotel is my choice to stay. Excellent hotel.

I stayed at Cove in Den Haag for 2 months. I stayed in the studio suite. The layout is nice. They provide enough kitchen tools to cook most dishes, the knives are sharp, and the dishwasher works well. The staff at the desk are amazing. The manager is also great. The housekeeping staff is less than average. Out of my 8 cleanings I had, only one housekeeper actually cleaned well, although she skipped the bathtub and told me that they don’t clean the bathtubs. Even the supervisor housekeeper said they should be cleaning the bathtubs, but she is also the one that told me I have to be outside my room for them to clean. (After I was just told I didn’t have to leave my room by the front staff). My bathtub was only ever cleaned once. Even when I showed up the first night, the bathtub was dirty. After some weeks, I just started cleaning my own bathtub. They offer a refresh 3 days after your weekly cleaning (or check-in) which SHOULD include a refresh of all towels, taking out all the trash, and vacuuming or mopping the floor. I only had a proper refresh one time. All the other times were just towels or one time the lady just put the towels in the bathroom and didn’t take the dirty ones. Housekeeping is way too inconsistent. Nobody in housekeeping knows what is going on or how to do their job. I don’t know if I would stay here again, but I already know what to expect. This is not a 4 star hotel to me.
