I moved to this hotel after spending a few nights in a hotel near the plaza de armas, and I wish I had moved sooner. Yes, it was a bit more expensive than the previous hotel, but well worth the difference in price.
Jungle House is clean and tranquil with exceptionally friendly service. It is just so quiet there! There was even a street festival going on all night just a street over from the hotel, and you could not hear a peep inside the room.
There is fresh, free breakfast and a cute pool. I never had the chance to get in but I will next time!
My room was small but comfortable. The bedding and pillows are top notch, and everything is new in the rooms. The AC functions well and there are no restrictions for use. There are also blackout curtains which help so much!
The location is amazing too. It’s right around the corner from the riverfront boulevard, and right next door to a public balcony overlooking the river. You can access almost everything within walking distance.
The WiFi is decent too! Better than the other hotel I stayed at.

Read moreThe Jungle House is a perfect respite for a before or after adventure to the Amazon. Located on a quiet street about three blocks from a local square, it is a small, boutique style hotel with only one floor of rooms off a beautiful courtyard. My room was large with a king bed and a twin. The room was clean and comfortable with excellent air-conditioning. The hotel restaurant was open air and breakfast came with the rate. It was usually a veggie omelet with toast and juice. The lobby also, had a coffee/tea service available 24 hours along with a filtered water bubbler. Soft drinks and water were available for a nominal fee. There as a small pool that was a perfect refresher after a of touring Iquitos. Currently, this area of the city is undergoing major renovation of the street...
