If there's one brewpub I know I'm going to visit on any holiday I take to this fascinating city it's Brovaria, been here before on previous holidays to Poznan, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit to here. ||A great looking brewpub, interior is superb, light and airy, a cool looking serving bar dominates the main room, wonderful decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this brewpub , its just a great brewpub to unwind in. ||We were here on a beautiful April afternoon, we were greeted and seated by a very pleasant member of the bar team, we ordered a pale ale each, these were served in excellent condition,we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our pale ale's. ||My pale ale was really good, a crisp, well balanced pale ale, hints of toffee, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a smooth finish, a classic Polish pale ale served in a classic Polish brewpub, its was just so good being in such a lovely brewpub enjoying quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. ||We both really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Brovaria we had a great time. ||Brovaria is easy to locate on Stary Rynek ( Old Market Square ) a square and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination. ||Opening hours are;||Monday to Friday, open from 2pm. ||Saturday & Sunday, open from midday. ||Well worth checking out if you're in the area or planning a...
Read moreBrovaria In October 2025 we stayed in Brovaria for almost one week. We found that the greeting on arrival and ongoing service from the management, Reception and restaurant/bar team was exceptional – pleasant, proactive and informative. No request was too much trouble and there was a ‘Can do’ attitude throughout our stay. It is important to note that, as an older style of building, there is no lift but, again, this wasn’t an issue as our luggage was carried up to our room. The room was large, comfortable and had pretty well everything we needed. The hotel spent a period of time out of service for renovations and this is certainly very apparent – the décor is superb. With several rooms available for dining and/or drinking, we had little problem arranging suitable times to take our meals. We would certainly recommend the bar at the front of the building as well as the cellar bar/restaurant and breakfast/ lunch dining area. The room to aim for, however, especially for dinner, is the beer hall – so called because that is where the brewery is situated. As a restaurant (offering formal or casual dining), an hotel or a bar, Brovaria is to be recommended. Excellent service is on offer throughout the establishment. We look forward to staying there again, the next time we’re in Poznan. Thank you to the...
Read moreThe service on the table was good. However, they told us that they could not split the bill. Now imagine coming with some colleagues you don't know that well, then one of you needs to pay for the whole group. Now imagine cashing that in after some beers, and taking into consideration the exchange from zloty to your currency. And of course there are some of them that don't have paypal... yeah, could get complicated. Alternatively, the restaurant can split the bill and all pay separately. But no, apparently not possible here!
Additionally, I cannot really comprehend the concept of the restaurant. It tries to mimic a bavarian brewery but it does not come even close. I had a Helles and a honey beer. The helles was ok. But the honey beer tasted to me like watered down iced tea.
The taste of the food was ok. I had the pierogi, some of my colleagues had the papardelle funghi and others the burguer. Yeah, you guessed it right, the food menu does not have a clear concept. The same goes to the ambiente of the place.
Overall, it seems to me like a tourist trap. In my humble opinion, you find better food in a nicer ambiente in just walking...
