We arrived as a group of four at 10:40pm last night, an hour and 20 minutes before closing, with plenty of other customers still in the restaurant. Upon arriving the man who initially greeted us slammed our water on the bench and told us we had five minutes to decide on our order, and that ramen was the only option this late - which was fine since that’s what we came for and already knew what we wanted as regular customers.
We've dined here many times before, including the night prior, but the atmosphere this time was noticeably unwelcoming. We ate quickly and still left 40 minutes before closing. As soon as we finished the female server abruptly began clearing our bowls before we had even left our seats. One of us said, “Thank you, have a good night,” only to be ignored with a disgusted look.
The service was shockingly rude, especially toward returning customers who have always had good experiences here. Given that we did nothing wrong and left well before closing, the treatment was completely disgraceful. There are plenty of other great ramen spots around, this one is no longer worth it.
Response: We left before 11:30pm, so that claim is false - according to my tracked location, we were in the restaurant for only about 27 minutes, yet we were still treated that way. By that time, we were already back at our hotel. Regardless of when we left, the treatment was appalling, especially toward regular loyal customers. Your restaurant originally stated on Google that it closed at 12am - the group who arrived after us even mentioned this to the waiter who greeted them. It seems you've only changed it after my review.
Check the cameras, and you'll see we arrived at 10:40 PM. We were never asked that. It seems your team is...
Read moreCozy and atmospheric ramen restaurant in Lisbon. We were with 4 and were seated in a nice booth near the window. We were served by Kusum, who showed us a great time!
For starters we had the assortment of stir fried mushrooms, crunchy fried eggplant cubes, tofu bao and the cold wakame seaweed salad. The mushrooms had a rich umami flavour that paired very well with the sweetness of the honey and the creamy raw egg garnish. The eggplant was absolutely addicting, with great flavour and texture. The tofu in the bao was very well marinated, and the bun was perfectly fluffy. All of these went great with the slightly sour but nutty seaweed salad.
I had the vegetarian miso ramen, which had a base of miso and peanut butter, which gave it an incredible nutty, earthy flavour, which paired well with the slightly sweet, silken tofu and the salty broth. I think the corn was slightly roasted, which further added to the toasty and sweet flavours.
For dessert I had the vegan cheese cake and the dango kebab. The former was quite sweet. You might expect the texture to be a bit more firm but I enjoyed the softer bite. The sesame flavour added a nice nutty flavour to contrast the sweetness and the crumbled cookie added a contrast to the soft body of the cake. The dango had a satisfying chew and the red bean paste coating was slightly sweet, which made for a very balanced dessert. Definitely a favorite!
The I also had a bite of the wasabi peanut white chocolate mouse. I'm personally not a big fan of wasabi, but its pungent flavour does strike a bold contrast to the sweet (and firm) white chocolate mouse.
All in all a very nice experience with some new flavours and old but very well executed flavours. Would...
Read moreI enter the restaurant at 17:00pm on a Saturday and right away approached by a fellow staff member, and there's our table by the window seat.
As we take a look at the menu through an iPad, a staff member right away approaching us with a bottle of freezing water. Remember we did not asked for this, and it's going to be really awkward to deny and so, we got the freezing water [€2.50].
The staff looked at us while holding the bottle of freezing water, the eyesight begging us to order the water and what happen next? We want to order 2 beers [€3 Each] and right away recommended us a deal with chicken wings. We asked is it BBQ or garlic favor. No respond from what we asked what flavor, dead center pointing at the menu, 10 minutes and I'm disappointed, the chicken wings are extremely tiny. Yes there's soy sauce smell coming from the wings and deep fried.
Arriving to our main course, 3 Ramen and overall good. However we ordered spicy and did not get the same result, adding half of the spicy oil with the same result [Not Spicy].
More importantly seaweed cut in half instead of one full slice, also i am pretty sure spinach not suppose to be apart of the japanese style Ramen.
Each Ramen cost around €15, we spent our time and a bit disappointed to this restaurant. The service is 4/10, still don't know why adding spinach in japanese Ramen is a good idea.
The sum of the bill is €68 for three and 25% tax, hopefully next time will improve and...
