Stay Away. Would Give Zero Stars If Possible.
I wish we had read the recent negative reviews before booking—unfortunately, they are 100% accurate. • Nonexistent Customer Service: They don’t respond to emails or calls and fail to provide the tour’s start location. It took us over an hour just to find their office. • No Real Guide or Tour: Upon arrival, they force you to download a non-functioning app for audio guidance instead of providing an actual guide. • Harassment & Gaslighting by Management: The manager, Rena, falsely accused my father of saying something offensive when he was simply speaking in a native language to my mother talking about his health and wanting water. She yelled at him, escalated the situation, and made false claims while on the phone with her company. Absolutely racist. • Technical Issues & Deceptive Practices: The audio app didn’t work, constantly downloaded the wrong language, and drained our phone battery and data. When we requested their physical audio guides, which were included in the ticket price, they refused to give us enough devices because we had already downloaded their faulty app. This caused further delays, and we missed our scheduled Nasrid tour entirely. • No Refund & Blame-Shifting: After all this, they refused a refund, pushing blame onto TripAdvisor and other booking platforms. • Seniors & Disabled Travelers Beware: Their hostile treatment of senior citizens was appalling. If you’re traveling with elderly family members or anyone with disabilities, stay far away—this company provides no accommodations and will harass you instead.
Ultimately, we couldn’t even do the tour with this company and had to book with another provider, who did an incredible job. After speaking to other tourists, we found that many had similar issues—especially with management, poor service, and the useless app.
This company may have had a good reputation years ago, but that is no longer the case. Save your money and go with a more reputable provider—you’ll have a much better experience in Granada and Alhambra with an honest tour operator.
Update: their response to this review is indicative of their lack of accountability similar to the experience we had. Gaslit by the staff, and hostile behavior. Go with other companies. They are far better, ethical, nice with great tours. I hope this company will take an honest look at its discriminatory practices and improve...
Read moreFirst, I’ll start off with the good things. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the Alhambra. He had a wealth of information. If this is your first visit to Granada, we would highly recommend a tour as the Alhambra is huge and it was helpful to navigate with a guide. Our group was small, which we appreciated.
Now, some critiques. We initially booked our tour for an 8:45 AM start. One day before, we got a message from the tour company stating that our tour was now at 10:45. If you read the small print, you will see that they have the right to change the time on you. This is disappointing, especially because they give no explanation and we specifically chose this company to have an early start. So definitely double check this. There were also not specific instructions about the meeting point. Luckily, we got there early, but we would have appreciated more detail on where to find the group. They also did not specify that you have to pay for Headphones that are mandatory for the tour. When we mentioned this, they also said it was in the fine print, which we must have missed. It was only 1 euro each but still seems like something that should be covered in the tour ticket price.
Lastly and perhaps most important, the tour is advertised as being three hours. Our tour was not more than two hours. This was also disappointing as we know other companies took more time and the full 3 hours. We had an extremely fast pace through the entire visit, and had no time to take any photos. There was also one point of the tour where our guide was moving so quickly that he completely left five of us behind because we stopped to take photos and then got lost.
Overall, despite the guide having great information about the Alhambra, we likely would not recommend going with this tour company for the...
Read moreOur hotel staff referred us to Granavisión website to book a guided excursion to Granada's Alhambra. We felt some uncertainty when at first we didn't receive our confirmation email. I had to call the agency to request they resend it. We received the email just a few hours before the excursion start time.
We grabbed a cab to the meetup sight and by now our uncertainty was dissipating. The Granavisión logo was clearly marked at the address they provided, and at the appointed time, our guide, Daniel, presented himself, made introductions, explained what to expect and we set off.
I wish I had gotten Daniel's last name to give you so you could request him specifically as your guide. He far exceeded any of our thoughts on what this guided tour would be; We were absolutely impressed with his knowledge of the history, architecture, symbolism, the grounds of the Alhambra and Generalife, and his ability to relay the entire narrative in Spanish and English, translating the Arabic writing and poetry inscribed throughout the Alhambra, while answering questions from others in French and explaining to us his origins are Italian. Wow! Words cannot express how impressed we were with Daniel and how much we enjoyed our tour with him.
This tour was a 3 1/2 hour walking tour jam packed with information that set the scene. Daniel's narrative invoked our imaginations, taking us back in time, envisioning what it might have been like to enter the walls of this ancient fortress, the palaces and the gardens, full of symbolism, beauty, light and the rapture of being in...
