Spirit of Windsor Canadian National # 5588 — Attraction in Ontario

This is such a great part of Windsor s heritage. The fact that Canada was brought together from Coast to Coast with the invention of the Railway. This piece of historical history remains on display at the river for all who come to visit and see Windsor. The downtown beautification of the riverfront walkway, and the setting of the giant Canadian flag, sets the Patriotic theme at the river. Along with all of the new benches and walking paths, the riverfront has transformed into a focal point as a walking connection between east and west of the downtown core. My favourite thing about this park is the giant Canadian flag. It also displays the lyrics to : O Canada on a plaque and it proudly displays the original lyrics of : " In all thy sons command ". This particular part of O Canads pays homage to our World War vets and changing it to : " All of us Command " was the most fruitcake thing Justin Trudeau has ever done and he's got quite the Fruitcake rap sheet. Anywho... I noticed that the other day and thought it was neat...

Spirit of Windsor train is located at the end of the parking lot, to the right lot when coming down Ourllette. The train is stationed and one of many things to see along the river walk way. The parking lot here is paid to park. The walkway around the 2 parking lots and river walk is one of the better lit areas...
