We have checked into the hotel for a few days now, and we still have a few days left.
Firstly, I would like to start by mentioning the location. There is a Starbucks beside the hotel and a supermarket in-front of the hotel. These all could help you provide any needs in case of a rush. Except that the supermarket prices are higher than the other ones by the street if you would like yo pay less and walk more. There is also a park a few steps by the hotel which has a great space for a walk and good games for the kids.
Secondly, the staff are friendly and there is a guy that speaks Arabic and English which is really helpful. The breakfast is really good and you have plenty of choices to choose from and there is a chef that cooks omelette.
Also, there are shops near the hotel that aren’t really that much but if you’re looking for more you could walk for 15 minutes and find ones nearby where there is a park and a shopping mall called Historia mall. It has a movie theater, a bowling alley and a small games area for kids to play in. There is also a metro station that’s called Vezneciler which is 6 minutes walking from the hotel.
Finally, the room services is helpful and you are allowed to enter food in the hotel if you ordered from somewhere else, the cleaning staff are going by daily for cleaning and fixing beds.
Hopefully when I leave the hotel I will share more experience and...
Read moreReading other reviews force me to review the hotel and elaborate why I gave it 4 stars. We had 2 rooms for 7 nights (I can judge the hotel quality easily): Location: not easy to reach but it is located in the old city which is crowded and hundreds of years old (not a modern city), but it is near to the metro station and walking distance from many nice places (market, best Lukum in town, shopping areas, many historical places, best donor...etc). You need to walk 2 min max (maybe less) to find a taxi, it is next to a main road. Staff: very nice, maybe some you need to trigger them before a friendly discussion (need to be enhanced), but Mustafa and Joshkun are extremely friendly and helpful (night shift). Provide us with many information about the city, brochures, friendly discussion..etc. Environment: there is a nice soft music in the lobby, inside and around the hotel is very clean, rooms are clean. Breakfast: was included, same menu every day but you have a good variety with an egg station. Rooms: relatively small, but can fit small baggage easily, AC was OK, bathroom can fit one person at a time, standing shower area is good. The only thing is bathroom sliding door is glass with no privacy. Internet: WiFi was available with good coverage inside the hotel but not the seating area outside. Added value: they have Starbucks place, a small garden with kids toys and...
Read moredefinitively not recomended. I stayed in many hotels, but this is one of the hotels where i was really disappointet, so that i left the hotel after first night, even though i booked 3 nights. I was there at 21.04.2022, still trying to get back the payment for the 2nd and 3rd night, but it seems i will not get it. I Booked via Zenhotels (it was the first time, never again…) normally i book via booking.com, hrs.com…
Even i got a room change, it was unfortunately a bad stay. There are many defects and the hotel has serious hygienic problem. To list some items:
Power socket hangs out Screw in the floor broken window in bathroom Cabinet door broken Bathroom moldy General cleanliness problem (lamp, furniture dirty) Strong chemical smell in the room Loud outside the hotel until the night (not a direct hotel problem)
Staff was eager to solve my problem and offered another (second) room change which i did not accept, since i believe the hotel has a general hygienic and management problem.
Breakfast was also not great, rather simple, the hotel is in far away from a 4 star hotel. Also the location (destrict) is not good, definitely not preferred destrict in ISTanbul
Staff in restaurant and reception was frindly, that the only thing what was positiv, also the guy (i think from Housekeeping), who showed us the room was...
