there thanks for taking the time to hear my complaint, I trust you will take action according to the evidence provided, although Argos have left me traumatised I will be happy to give a chance for you to redeem your business reputation, as I am a regular customer but never been treated in this manner before. It has left me with severe anxiety, I feel vulnerable and scared to shop at Argos. I have a product I am not happy with and I am well within my rights to exchange or return.
I purchased a TV from yourselves, however realised once I arrived home that this was the incorrect size for my wall mount. I came into store on Wednesday 21st February at around 3:30pm and tried to exchange the Tv, baring in mind it was all sealed and boxed as it came. I was told I was unable to. I was then humiliated and embarrassed by the manager, who kept coming in my personal space. I already suffer with mental health issues , such as anxiety and depression and I find it a struggle to leave the house on days due to the trauma I have lived with my ex partner. I suffered from domestic violence from my ex partner which has left me with life long mental health issues with anxiety.
The manager Chris came right in my face and was screaming and shouting. He kept coming towards me. I stepped back every time and he would step forward, coming closer to me. This has left a severe impact on my mental health. I was humiliated and embarrassed in front of other customers . My TV was picked up and left outside in the rain.
I would like details of the financial ombudsmen and take this matter further. I would like a call from the area manager, or I will be taking this to the newspapers and telling everyone my story of how I was treated by a so called manager. Argos is a massive reputable company and I will never be shopping in any of your stores again.
Since I have left your store, I have had to seek medical advice due to the amount of panick attacks I have suffered due to the 2 members of staff who were there in store mistreating me.
I also have recorded this and can provide video evidence.
I would like the ombudsmen details and an area managers call to discuss the matters in more details or I will be getting my legal...
Read moreBEWARE OF THIS SHOPPING CENTRE !!! Especially if you are parents with young children.
My husband and I met at Forster square shopping centre (so with both our cars) on the 4th of January to go shopping with our baby. Our baby was hungry and needed to be fed, a nappy change etc... So we decided to go to Asda and ended up eating there which obviously took some time. Then we walked to Mothercare, came back and went to USC for my husband and finally Outfit for me.
A month later we received 2 letters (one for each car) asking us to pay a £100 fine, each! The reason being that there is a 3 hour limit and we stayed 3 hours 52 min!
We are absolutely disgusted by this ! We spent the whole time shopping, spent over £300 in total and the reward we got for this is a £200 fine, which is a huge amount to pay for a family!
We are even more outraged as we feel we're being discriminated as parents. Had we not had to stop to feed and change our baby, we would have not gone over this stupid time limit, a time limit that we weren't even aware of!
We have been shopping here a few times but never saw the signs stating that it was a 3 hour car park! We went back since to check and yes they are here but really small! Especially when you're driving and are focusing on the road! I'm guessing this is the whole point so that they can make money out of their customers! Such a unfair way to treat your customers!
Next time we'll just go to the White rose centre in Leeds. It may be further away but at least we can shop at our leisure without fear of...
Read moreThis retail park is split in to 2 parts separated by a road. With the shops nearest Forster Square train station consisting largely of sport's shops, bargain stores and furniture stores. MacDonalds is the only food outlet that side of the park. To find electronic retailers, Argos, clothing outlets and other eateries you need to walk under the bridge or drive to the other side of the retail park via the main road. The other half of the retail park is situated near Tesco and apart from Argos and the eateries (which include Subway and Gregg's) There is a Asda Home outlet, Peacocks, Next, a travel retailer and a large Curry's store etc. Home Bargains and Halfords and Farmstores are across the road. Toilets are available in most of the eateries and in Asda. I shop here often, either in the family car or as a pedestrian travelling by train. Some shops offer shopping trolleys, those that do include Asda and Home Bargain. Home Bargains has a facility to collect online...
