Seven Dials Covent Garden is a unique quarter of London whose star-shaped layout remains as constructed in the early 1690s. Just west of Covent Garden, Seven Dials is one of London's great architectural set pieces. I was on my way to Leicester Square and found myself at the junction of seven roads, and it was amazing. It doesn't happen every day. These roads and residences were laid out like a starfish, and comprised of 7 roads set out in a series of triangles, which all converged at a center point. The Pillar was topped by six sundial faces, the seventh 'style' being the column itself. Fact: Now – there was a reason why the streets were set out in triangular shapes, and that was because at that time rental income was determined by the size of a building’s exterior frontage, not the size of its interior

This is where seven cobble-stone streets come together at Covent Garden road junction which circles the historic Seven Dials Column. What you find is a replica of the original 17th-century column that was installed here in 1989. The streets that meet here are vibrant with shops, cafes, coffee shops and market buildings. A lot of trendy shoppings and places to eat and drink in the area. Have a quick look at the Seven Dial Column if passing through the area.
