Village on the Parkway — Attraction in Addison

Me and a friend of mine went to Glorias last night. We had food then drinks and then decided to go to the other side to listen to music and dance. First of all I told my friend before he got there that the manager kept walking by others and not speaking or smiling or asking us if we are OK like he did a few other people he kept walking by glaring making ugly looks not speaking. My friend didn't think anything of it and we kept on enjoying our meal until we went on the other side and he goes from walking around on that side glaring and pacing like we were in his way to walking around glaring at us on the dance floor(complete other side of the building)

My friend is disabled so he was in the wheelchair and we were salsa dancing . Well the manager came over and said we had to stop dancing because this is not a strip club.. I find that very offensive because I have never even been in a strip club. I don't know what made him choose the word strip club. I was dressed in pants and a sweater and I was definitely not stripping in any form! I was trying to salsa dance with my disabled friend. He was very rude and disrespectful.

He embarrassed us and I am a local resident and now I have to go to Glorias far away if I want to go but not this location. I REFUSE TO BE TREATED THAT WAY! NEVER AGAIN! I don't think that should've happened and that was definitely unacceptable. I have been to many Glorias and I have not been treated like that and I don't appreciate it. The only thing I can think about is he didn't like that my friend was disabled??? Really??? I enjoy Latin food and dancing but I my money and time will never...

A former president seems to think that all that all that comes out of El Salvador is MS-13. Well, it's obvious he has never heard of Gloria's Latin Cuisine in Addison. I ventured in on a Monday around 6pm to find no line and friendly ladies greeting me. I was given the choice of several places to sit and chose the covered and climate-controlled patio. Within moments of being seated, my waiter took my drink order and served chips with salsa and a delicious black bean dip. I ordered a Margarita and perused the menu. Many places are going to virtual menus but I appreciate a physical one to make a selection. I had the shrimp enchiladas with rice and beans. They were out-of-this-world delicious. The village on the parkway is a super cool area, great for taking a small group to go get a bite, some ice cream, go see a movie, or get a drink. All the shops look very newly built and the area seems pretty lively. There's a pretty vast selection of different types of food around here so you are generally spoiled for choice. The only thing to be aware of is it is generally a higher priced area. For example, with tax and tip, a burger and water to drink can run you around $18, and a scoop of ice cream you're looking at upwards of $7, for just a single scoop in a cup with a couple of toppings.
