I really wanted to like this place I really did, but my experience here just felt like it was getting worse. I had emailed to set up an appointment for a Saturday, I got a call telling me that they had a spot for 11:30 on Saturday. Even though it wasn't the time I wanted I took the time slot anyway. I got asked many questions (which I understand that it was to help them help me narrow down what I was looking for). I had told them that I was looking other places and even online. Since I shared this with them they told me to come in Friday at 3:30pm to look. I understood this time slot to be just looking and not being able to try on dresses. They fit me in to try on dresses. I felt discouraged because I was told I probably won't find a dress in time since my wedding day is in September and they aren't getting their dresses in till October. I tried on 4 dresses. I really liked one but didn't feel comfortable buying it right then. I decided to get a follow up appointment. After a while I decided it just wasn't going to work for my budget, so I called on Monday to cancel my follow up appointment that was on Thursday. The person who answered the phone was amazing and extremely nice and didn't make me feel pushed or rushed. The very next day I get a text that I still had my appointment (mind you I had the appointment set for Thursday at 4:30pm). This text said my appointment was on Thursday at 11am! I'm not bothering to text back, however.
This experience here felt extremely pushed and I felt rushed. I really liked the dress but it just wasn't going to work with my budget. I liked how helpful Jensen was being but at the same time she just made me feel rushed and felt pushed to buy a dress...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAVOID. My experience here was disheartening and negative to say the least. Shopping for a wedding dress should be fun, but Margene's Bridal made my experience super stressful. The employees and manager didn't listen to what I was looking for, and instead pushed certain styles they liked. I wanted to try on multiple styles because I wasn't sure exactly what I was looking for, but they brought me different versions of the same dress. The manager asked me to compare each new dress to the last, and I said I didn't want to compare, but instead judge each one separately by how they made me feel. She told me I was wrong and I had to pick a favorite each time or else I'd never find the right one. I was trying to think about what I liked/disliked about each one, and they kept interrupting me to basically tell me how to feel. When I did find a dress I liked, they immediately pressured me to buy it right then because if I didn't buy it the day of, I wouldn't have enough time to get it altered (mind you, my wedding was scheduled for 10 months later...). I also didn't like the lace on the shoulders and they tried to convince me that I did. There was so much pressure to wear a certain style and especially to buy the day of. The atmosphere was condescending, pushy and rude. My try on space was in an awkward corner, and not separated from other people also trying on dresses. They also wouldn't let you take pictures. I left feeling irritated, saddened and discouraged. If a place has to tell you "I'll save you the time - don't bother going anywhere else" because they are the "best in town", they're definitely not. I do not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy friend and I were in this shop last week looking for a dress and was excited to start this journey at a local business but was just extremely put off by everyone there at the end. At first the salesperson was really friendly and seemed helpful in wanting to find me the perfect dress, like they really cared about me and my big day. But after trying a few on that just didn't fit right, I found one I thought was absolutely beautiful and unfortunately it was just too big after trying it on. The salesperson kept insisting that it could be altered enough to fit but I was still unsure. Finally, it got to a point where they were telling me the dress had been discontinued and if I didn't buy it now, I'd miss out on it forever, pushing and PUSHING me to buy a dress that didn't fit. Even though this dress was supposedly "discontinued" and it was very clear it would need severe alterations to fit, they didn't offer any type of discount, I would have had to pay the full $1,700 plus a few hundred for alterations. I was so uncomfortable with the entire experience at that point we just walked out. It became very obvious to my friend and I that they only cared about the sale. I'm so glad I didn't buy anything from this business, especially after reading other reviews afterwards and seeing that the same thing has happened to other women and they unfortunately were pressured into buying dresses that didn't fit them. This place should be ashamed...
