Hertz Car Rental - Anaheim - Marriott Hotel — Local services in Anaheim

I’m posting a review to help others who were confused about this Hertz. This Hertz location is not a full service location, but rather convenience site for guests of the Marriott.

If you have Gold or President’s Circle status, the Hertz team will bring you a car and leave the key with the Anaheim Marriott valet. I had an incredible experience and it was very easy.

The staff at the hotel didn’t really know how the Hertz situation worked, although their manager was incredibly nice and tried his best. It’s best to ask Hertz directly instead of the hotel staff for any questions related to your rental.

Hertz texted me before my reservation to confirm and informed me they could only bring the car to me if I was a Gold or President’s Circle member, otherwise I would have to go a nearby location to pick up the car. Fortunately I was covered, so this review is specifically for that experience.

When you go to the valet at Anaheim Marriott, they will ask for your ID to confirm it’s a match for the rental car reservation, then they will bring you your car.

I dropped off the car at a different location, so I can’t speak about the drop off experience. But if you are a Gold or President’s Circle status with Hertz, then this location at the Marriott was...

Had a terrible experience renting a car here.

I booked the car through expedia to go see Legoland with family - arrived there with my wife and two kids.at 9am, my rental time. The lady at the counter didn't have information about my reservation and asked to wait for 5 mins. A couple of excuses later, it was 2 hours before we finally had the keys!!

She had problems with internet connectivity, she said - but, there was no regard for my time and my family's. Her attitude was "I told my manager and asked for his help and I'm just going to wait". I had to urge her to call and have it resolved. More over, she was non-apologetic - which means that, she hasn't learnt anything and will continue her attitude. Just before she resolved it, she offered an alternative solution to walk over 2 blocks to another Hertz office to get my rental car. She should have offered this TWO HOURS earlier!

My advice: Avoid this place. A day later, I booked through National and had quite the opposite experience - go there, it is on W Katella (5 mins of walk away) and renting there was a breeze even though I reserved the car just...

I rent cars often and this was the poorest service I have ever experienced at a rental car agency. Our flight was late so they gave our car away, said it was our fault although they had a completely unrelated phone number on our file from an entirely different area code. Extremely unhelpful agent started the conversation with there’s a problem here and it just never got any better. He claimed that they didn’t have a corporate rate on file for us. As a result I needed to call Hertz back directly, Reservations found our corporate rate and rebooked us another car at the same agency. I went back to the agency with in 5 minutes of the call with my guaranteed reservation and they had given that car away again. Called Hertz back for the last time they offered us a 7 seater SUV which we did not want or need, for a $100 up charge, at this point we declined the vehicle and went elsewhere. First and likely my last experience with Hertz, corporate was great the agency ......
