A Truly Exceptional Stay: Unmatched Service and Incredible Value at Sheraton Park Anaheim
Our stay at the Sheraton Park at Anaheim Resort was nothing short of amazing, thanks in large part to the incredible staff. I want to give a special mention to Rosia at the front desk, who truly made our stay unforgettable. Rosia has been with the Sheraton Park at Anaheim Resort for over 8 years, and her professionalism, warmth, and extensive knowledge shone through from the moment we arrived. She was not only friendly and helpful but also genuinely invested in making our experience perfect. She upgraded us to what I believe is the best room on the property—a top-floor room with a full balcony, offering breathtaking views of both the park and the fireworks. This personal touch was the highlight of our stay, and I honestly cannot thank Rosia enough for going above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible time. Marriott Bonvoy and Aimbridge Management should feel immense pride in having such a dedicated, long-serving, and cheerful employee as Rosia on their team.
I also cannot say enough good things about Juliana, who worked in the lounge. Juggling her job while attending school, Juliana still managed to handle busy lounge days with grace, professionalism, and an infectious smile. She made every guest feel special, myself included, always offering friendly conversation and top-tier service. Juliana’s warm demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile truly stood out and made our time in the lounge so enjoyable. It’s rare to find someone who can balance so many responsibilities and still radiate positivity—Juliana is a gem that management should certainly recognize and appreciate.
The location of the resort is also a huge plus—just a short walk to Disneyland, and even shorter to the Toy Story parking lot, where you can take the shuttle to the park. The convenience couldn’t have been better for our Disney plans.
One area that could be improved is the executive lounge food. The hot food buffet containers are awkwardly placed, making it difficult to serve yourself, as the lids don’t stay open. The food options were also a bit disappointing—breakfast consistently featured scrambled eggs as the only hot item, alongside oatmeal, fresh fruit, and prepackaged pastries that were often soggy. While the evening hors d'oeuvres were slightly better, there was still room for more variety, particularly in protein options and overall quality.
The rest of the hotel’s amenities were impressive. The fitness center was clean and well-equipped compared to other hotels, and the breakfast buffet at Savor’s offered plenty of delicious choices with great service. Room service was also attentive and prompt, with items arriving within 15 minutes, even late at night.
One small complaint is the elevators. They tend to get quite busy, especially during checkout times or when guests are heading to the Disney parks in the morning. The elevators broke down twice during our week-long stay, which, considering the age of the building, might be an ongoing issue that management should address.
I’d also like to respond to some concerns I’ve seen in previous reviews about labor disputes, AC issues, and water pressure. All labor disputes have been settled as of March, and there were zero disturbances during our stay. The AC in our Club level room worked perfectly and was easy to control individually. Housekeeping was thoughtful and didn’t adjust the settings, so we always returned to a cool, comfortable room after long days at the parks. Regarding water pressure, while it’s on the lower side—likely due to California conservation laws—we had no issues, and it worked just fine for us.
All in all, the value we received at this price point was exceptional. With comfortable rooms, great amenities, and, above all, incredible service from standout staff like Rosia and Juliana, our stay felt like a luxury experience that exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend the Sheraton Park at Anaheim Resort, especially for anyone...
Read moreEdit: I've lowered my rating to 2 stars due to the egregiously slow and unresponsive service. They take forever to deliver items to room, don't answer calls to the front desk, and took as much as 3 hours to reply to my texts, only finally responding at 3am to a request made at midnight. I've never seen such unresponsive staff, even at much cheaper hotels.
Original Review: This hotel is a mixed bag. The room and lobby are well presented, modern, and clean.
Edit: The laundry room is also affordable and convenient. Big fan. And the gift shop, which has a Starbucks in it, is a great includion.
Original review: However, the less obvious issues are there.
For one, at least 1-2 elevators were broken for the duration of our stay. The elevators are also small and slow, so you could end up waiting 2-3 minutes for one, only for it to arrive full, leaving you waiting even longer. It meant the stairs - which are outside - were often the fastest way to get anywhere, even if you were coming from a high floor. The elevators are also clearly old and worn, being more reminiscent overall of a motel elevator than a Sheraton.
Most of the rooms are disconnected from the main lobby and exist in a separate building. Not really an issue, but if it's raining, it's a bit weird to have to go out into the rain just to get to your room. Again, more of a motel vibe.
Edit: Apparently this style of construction is common in the area, so maybe not a fair criticism of this hotel specially. Still think it's weird and inconvenient for the guest though.
Original review: the front desk doesn't keep many normally needed items handy (towels, tissues, soap, etc.), instead saying they'll ask housekeeping to bring it up to your room. This wouldn't be an issue if housekeeping could deliver items in a timely fashion, but they don't; requests repeatedly weren't addressed unless I followed up with the front desk, who often didn't answer texts or calls and required an in person visit.
Edit: The service is really, egregiously slow. I called them to ask for waters, and got no answer. Texted, and no response after 20 minutes. Called again, no answer. Eventually just ended up going down to the lobby to get them, a several minute afair thanks to being in different buildings and having slow elevators. I finally got a response to my text after almost 3 hours saying they'd be happy to bring me water.
To be clear, I texted at midnight. They replied at 3am. Egregiously slow. Throughout my stay, over numerous contacts via text and calling, they're either slow or entirely unresponsive. While the staff is friendly, the responsiveness leaves much to be desired.
Edit #2: Waited an hour for towels, needed to go to front desk after they didn't come. Calls to desk were ignored. When the towels were delivered, the housekeeper ignored me when I thanked her, instead shaking her head as she walked away.
Original review: We also needed some dry cleaning done once, and you're supposed to go to guest services to drop it off before 9AM in order to get it by end of day. Well, when we went down at 8AM, no one was there. We went to the front desk instead, who informed us guest services isn't usually in that early. They were also unfamiliar with how to fill out the laundry slip, and while it did get figured out, it was a strange situation all around.
Edit: The item sent for cleaning came back damaged and unusable. Love it.
Original review: Lastly, maybe most problematic - the shower door doesn't seal properly, and water spills out all over the bathroom floor. Maybe a problem specific to our unit, but really annoying coming out to a flooded washroom.
Edit: There's also a small shelf in the shower for toiletries; however, the shelf in our unit is crooked, causing the bar of soap being used to constantly fall. It's also a very small shelf, not good for much more than a bar of soap, so... basically pointless when it can't even do that.
Original review: Overall, the hotel isn't bad, but definitely doesn't live up to the...
Read moreDisclaimer: I pre-paid through the Good Neighbor Costco Travel Bundle; I travel with a task-trained PTSD/Medical Alert and Response Service Dog. Faking and claiming your animal as a service dog is a federal & State crime. Please keep in mind that I paid over $1,500 for this trip. I strongly believe in getting what you paid for. Stayed 03/22/2023-03/25/2023
Pre-trip: I paid for a premium king room with club access; this guarantees you are on the 12th floor or higher of the hotel. If you are traveling with a pet, you will be on the first or second floor of the hotel due to hotel policies.Apon calling the hotel to make sure they have my reservation the front desk person was not educated on service dog laws and tried to put me on pet level floors going against state&Federal. I did get ahold of a manager who immediately fixed this situation and told me they would "use it as a learning opportunity" Although the employees should be properly trained on ADA laws regarding service dogs before they are done with their training. And to be left unattended at the desk. I had expectations for a hotel rating 4 stars yet right off the bat before I even arrived. I received Discriminatory actions and basically received a forced apology in return. So this was a MAJOR RED FLAG as good neighbor Labled "Marriott 4 star resort".
Check in: check in once again another problem arising with a service dog period Lady checking me in argued back and forth that my service animal was still a pet and I have to stay on the pet floors. Trying to force me to sign a paper that he is a pet. Upon arguing back and forth and stating I will not be signing this paper because he is a service animal and it is discrimination she then backed off. Proceeded to finally get our check-in keys. At that point gave us the wrong room as I had a club access room. Pawn fixing that finally got the correct keys to go up to our room.
Room: Overall the room was very nice one king bed walk in shower. Supplied us with many towels which was very No microwave in room but there are microwaves available in the lobby. Mini fridge in room. You need the key to use the elevators. Wifi is not free if you aren't a member as a heads up but I am a Marriott member. Overall the room was generally very clean very sanitized. Wifi there worked great through our Xbox.
Club Access Features: snacks to 5:00 p.m. to 7:00. Not bad snacks One day I had chicken skewers the other day had meatballs It was good. Breakfast is was a large variety eggs were always offered of a scramble with onions and bell pepper. Always had a cheese board which was nice plenty of different drinks of non-alcoholic. Easy to get in and out of club access room as just needed room number.
Accessibility: within the hotel there is a very large grass area. Where my service animal can relieve himself. There were many ramps instead of stairs which was nice.
Walking distance: about a 10:00 to 11 minute walk to Disney. Not bad at all easily walkable.
Overall: Overall my stay started with a pretty rocky start. Pretty ridiculous that I had to argue about my service animal when they should know the laws. Even more horrible with the passive Aggressive harassment and discrimination in the beginning as they were happily doing it with a smile ignoring the hotel notes that I know they had because I have called previously. Even better I even called before that within Costco's Disney helpline to make sure the hotel was very much aware. Will I be returning here? I will give this hotel another chance maybe in a year but in the future no. This hotel needs to work on their hospitality towards disabled individuals traveling with service animals. Such as at least knowing the laws. Not being passive aggressive. Actually reading the room notes along with what type of room was even paid for. Overall the other staff were very friendly housekeeping was...
