A Hidden Gem in Disneyland Park: A Free Spot to Rest and Cool Down
If you’re looking for a quiet place to rest and escape the heat in Disneyland, I’ve got the perfect spot to share. As you enter the park and head towards Main Street, on the right-hand side, you’ll come across the “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” attraction, which is currently under refurbishment (in June 2024). While it might seem closed, don’t be fooled—this spot is actually accessible, and it’s a hidden gem for anyone needing a break.
Right in front of the mini Capitol, you’ll find a row of benches and an L-shaped area on the ground where you can sit down. The air conditioning here is on full blast, making it an ideal place to recharge during a hot summer day. It’s a cool, quiet corner of the park that not many people know about.
Bonus Tips: This spot is just a few steps away from Town Square, where you can meet Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto. It’s also close to the starting point of the 5:30 PM parade, so you can rest up and then head out to snap photos with characters or grab a great spot...

Tucked inside the Opera House, this attraction stands out not for thrills or fantasy, but for its emotional depth and historical significance.
Before the show, guests can explore a small exhibition featuring models, artwork, and history about Disneyland’s creation — a treat for Disney fans. His speech, drawn from real historical texts, is powerful and beautifully delivered, reminding visitors of the values of freedom, unity, and perseverance.
It’s a quiet, air-conditioned retreat from the bustle of the park — and a moment of reflection that leaves many feeling inspired. Perfect for families, history lovers, or anyone wanting to take in a meaningful piece of Disney’s...
Read moreI grew up at Disneyland and had visited Great Moments with Mr Lincoln each visit. With each visit I was always Amazed and Proud walking out of the Lincoln Theater. I wanted to recapture the feeling again by trying to see if it might be out on the Internet. To my Surprise and Joy it was. Like most things with time they change. Mainly Mr Lincoln himself and the Speech. The Speech I have never heard before I know the Original did not include suicide any where in it. I was shocked. Although this may be authentic in its Text I never less was shocked it was in the Presentation and that Walt Disney Family allowed it. I had planned to share it with my Fellow Veterans I thought they would enjoy it . But how could I now even though the Bulk of the show was Truly Amazing! Sincerely and Respectively...
