My wife and I have been here quite a few times and enjoy the food. The Pizza Port serves pizza (cheese/cheese and pepperoni), pastas, and salads. Out of all three, their salads are the best.
Our most recent visit was most unfortunate in that the pizza was unusually bland. We enjoyed our salad, but found ourselves heading over to Tomorrowland Terrace for a turkey club sandwich shortly thereafter. During busy days this restaurant is packed with parents and their children, not to mention a ton of strollers (watch the shins, please!).
The thing that no one seems to understand at the PP is that it's a cafeteria style restaurant so you don't have to wait for the person in front of you in order to grab your food. You can keep the line moving forward by bouncing around from area to area, picking out specific dishes you're going to eat.
Tip: The PP takes passholder discounts!
Coolness factors:
They had a vegan option, which I was very happy to see! I assumed that Iād have to bring my own snacks for the day, but was pleasantly surprised how many vegan options Disneyland has!
I wish the whole menu was vegan, but this is a start. The vegan Bolognese was actually not too bad!
The reviews complaining about the price seem silly. Welcome to the West! $9 for food anywhere in LA (especially at Disneyland) is about as cheap as you are going to find anywhere so I was actually happy to see how cheap it was.
The only weird thing about this was the line to get into the cafeteria. The line itself was fine, there were thousands of people at the park, but the cast members werenāt overly friendly and wouldnāt let us even go in to see the menu (I donāt eat meat or dairy so I wanted to see if they even had an option). They said we could look at the menu on our phones. I donāt love how phone centric Disneyland seems to be becoming, especially when you see the hordes of people in the park that walk around like drones glued to their phones and not enjoying the experience.
This place was alright. They had a vegan option, and hopefully they continue to phase out meat, dairy, and eggs and make this park more sustainable...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām going to be honest, I actually didnāt eat here, but the vibes are out of this world.
From the moment I stepped near Pizza Planet, I felt like I had been zapped straight into Andyās imagination. The nostalgia hit me harder than Buzz Lightyear realizing heās just a toy. š
Everything ā from the alien claw machine to the rocket ship decor ā is a love letter to Toy Story fans. I half expected Woody to swing in from the ceiling and high-five me. (Thankfully the prospector was neither seen nor smelt.) The soundtrack? Perfection. I heard āYouāve Got a Friend in Meā and nearly teared up with joy. Randy Newman, you legend. (Aside from what heās said about short peopleā¦)
Even though I didnāt grab a slice (regret level: INFINITY), the energy here was electric. Kids were laughing, adults were grinning like they were 8 years old again, and the staff were all in on the fun ā kind, playful, and full of Pixar magic.
If youāre a Toy Story fan, this place isnāt just a restaurant ā itās a pilgrimage. Next time, Iām not just walking in. Iām going to sprint through the doors like Andy just shouted, āPizza Planet, letās go!ā
