Where to Eat in Disneyland: River Belle Terrace in Frontierland Located to the left of Pirates of the Caribbean, this dining location is one of the originals at Disneyland Park. However, a few years ago it was converted into a table service restaurant. Known for its home-style eats, barbecue favorites, and Southern hospitality, River Belle Terrace feels like a cozy family diner in the middle of the park. 🧀 Warm Pimento Cheese & Biscuits – House-baked Biscuits, Market Vegetables, served with creamy pimento cheese. Great for sharing! $10.00 🍝 Pimento Mac and Cheese – Creamy pasta topped with Smoked Brisket and Herb Crumble. A nicely sized portion bowl but could have packed a bit more flavor. Still good though! $22.00 🥪 Burnt Ends Grilled Cheese – BBQ Brisket, Pickled Pepper Relish with Potato Bites, though mine came with house fries which were crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet. I would have liked a bitter position for the price but it was good! $23.00 🧁 Seasonal Monkey Bread – Delicious pull apart cinnamon bread topped with whipped cream and a seasonal flavor, mine was apple crumble! $9.00 🌟 Follow for more Disneyland Tips! *** #disneylandfood #disneyland #frontierland #instafood #foodies #foodreview #disneyparks #riverbelleterrace

Disneyland Resort Updates for September 2023 Week 2 🍹 DISNEYLAND ALCOHOL – Starting today, three new places in Disneyland Park will serve adult beverages. Guests of age can order beer, wine, and specialty cocktails at Carnation Cafe, Cafe Orleans, and River Belle Terrace. New food items are also available, as well as brunch at River Belle Terrace, check the location menus for the new options. 🔑 MAGIC KEY SALES UPDATE – Last week, Disneyland stopped selling the Inspire Key, which means that no Magic Key annual passes are currently available for sale. Currently, key holders can renew within 30 days of their pass expiring. If you have a child who is turning 3 and would like to purchase them a Magic Key, contact Disneyland for instructions. 🎷 NEW RIVERS OF AMERICA SHOW – Beginning Sept. 29, 2023, a new limited-time nighttime show, “The Heartbeat of New Orleans – A Living Mural” will debut at Disneyland Park. Using projections, music, and animated artwork by Disney Live Entertainment graphic designer Marci Swett, the story tells the tale of a mischievous frog from the bayou who finds himself in the middle of the New Orleans jazz scene! In addition, Queenie and the Jambalaya Jazz Band will continue to play throughout the night. The shows will play on select nights during the fall and nightly during the holiday season, which begins Nov. 10. 🥘 TIANA’S PALACE – The quick-service restaurant is now open! The spot is very popular, and could see lines through October on the weekends and other popular dates. However, I recommend waiting over the mobile order. The food is delicious, and it’s a nice environment to sit and dine outside. If you still want to mobile order, place yours before 8 am to ensure that spots don’t run out. 🌳 ADVENTURELAND TREEHOUSE – Disneyland confirmed that the attraction will debut this fall! I’ll update when there’s an official opening date! 🌟 Follow me for more Disneyland updates! *** #magickey #disneylandfood #disneyland #tiana #tianaspalace #neworleanssquare #disneyparks #disney

I’ve been to Disneyland a million times and never even noticed this cute restaurant. We made a reservation for lunch. We were really excited to try the food. The location is super cute and the seating is great. You can look to look over and see Tom Sawyer Island, and all the people walking around and families having fun. Xavier was our waiter and he was really super helpful. He told us about the oil having cross-contamination because we have fish allergies. So unfortunately, we were unable to try anything from the fryer because everything fried there is fried in the same oil as the fish. Kind of limited our options for lunch. The iced tea was really fresh and very refreshing. Jaden was super helpful and told us all about the great desserts. And other tasty items on the menu. The service was incredible. Unfortunately, the pimento, macaroni and cheese was not as good as the biscuits with the Mento cheese sauce. The strawberry shortcake pudding did not disappoint. Not only was it really cute, but it was also really tasty. A little hard to get everything in one bite because of the jar but the whip cream was a delightful surprise. 10 out of 10 would totally recommend make sure to make a reservation first. The cast is super nice and there to help you. We did ask for the manager and Xavier got a little concerned thinking he had done something wrong. We asked to see the manager to let her know what a great experience we had. Everybody’s always so quick to complain and hardly ever take the time to call the manager to see if what a great time they had. The service was wonderful Cass the manager was really sweet and we were super grateful that she took the time out to come and talk to us. We were told the hummingbird cake was really delicious but you don’t have it. Please bring back the hummingbird cake.

TLDR; I do not recommend this restaurant. The food is supbar, and it's a waste of both your park time and money to eat here.

When I originally booked our afternoon reservation, I thought we would be eating outside, due to the name 'River Belle Terrace,' and it not being specified as indoors. Dissapointingly, we were escorted into the restaurant without being given an option. I'm not sure if this was due to a separate event or if this is their normal operating procedure to prepare for Fantasmic evening showings, but that should have been clear in the booking process. If Disney employees can deconstruct a stage in under an hour for World of Color than the wait staff should be more efficient and not need over 3 hours to put napkins on tables in preparation for evening dining experiences. Seperately, I'm not sure how they justify 75 dollars a person for their special viewing dinner service with how mid the food is and, since patio is flat, the majority of people who pay won't even have a good sightline for Fantasmic.

The interior decor and themeing is lackluster and hopefully this is next in line to get gutted and rehabed when Tiana's Palace is completed late 2023. The inside portion of the restaurant is more akin to a shoebox and there's no bathroom inside or nearby which is incomprehensible for a sit down restaurant. The service itself was passable but fairly minimal despite how much easier it should be for the staff to be attentive in such a small area with so few guests.

Lastly and most importantly, the food itself wins the award for being the most abysmal I've ever had in a Disney park. The menu originally appealed to me because it seemed like elevated comfort food, but the execution is just not there. We received our food a little too quickly and it wasn't very warm. I suspect they bulk prepare or reheat things in the back and plate it, as opposed to it being freshly made to order. The limited menu offerings and small table size don't lend themselves well to ordering multiple items and sharing them.

The wedge salad my mom ordered decent despite being small and more apetizer sized. The Skillet Briscuit macaroni I ordered was overwhelmingly heavy and bland, with cube chunks of flavorless, hard, and over cooked briscut. My dad, who will eat pretty much anything without complaint and hates wasting food, struggled with and ultimately didnt finish his Burnt Ends Grilled Cheese Sandwich, which he considers to be the worst thing he's ever eaten.

On the whole, while we've been really dissapointed with Disneyland's food offerings compared to Disney California Adventure and the Walt Disney World parks, this takes the figurative cake (because we absolutely did not want to gamble on the dessert menu). Do yourself, your tastebuds, and your wallets a favor and eat literally...

SO disappointed. The food is fine, it’s by no means bad buts it’s so ridiculously overpriced for the mediocre quality. We paid $200 to have a lovely meal and paid extra to be able to enjoy said meal on the terrace during the fantasmic show. We had a reservation at 8:00 that we showed up on time to. We were not seated until at least 8:15. The service was fine not bad but once again nothing to write home about. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!! We were constantly rushed through the meal, from our waitress bringing our entrees out quite literally minutes after our appetizers were served, and we were “gently reminded” after being seated for 45 minutes that the bill was there anytime we were ready to pay it. For $70 a person I don’t think it’s asking for the holy grail to be able to sit and enjoy a meal without being rushed. NEVER coming back here and definitely spending that money on something better. They literally turn the gas lamps off and pretend they don’t know that there’s two tanks per lamp just to freeze you out. When we asked for a top up on water before paying the bill we were served water in a paper to go cup. Ridiculous !!!! Don’t waste your money !!!! This could have been such an amazing experience but I guess disney’s newest business model is sacrifice the experience of some for the enjoyment of others. We were told to vacate due to the next seating coming in and them being closed. How can you be closed if you have another seating coming in ?? Also it totally doesn’t matter that we were seated late and didn’t get our full experience because we have to leave so someone else can get their full experience at the expense of ours ??? No thank you. Never wasting my money on this MASSIVE disappointment again.

EDIT: a VERY kind cast member (who was definitely not the manager, whole other kettle of fish there) after patiently listening to our concerns individually offered to walk us himself to the always full Peter Pan ride and get us on lickity split which he did !! He also offered to get me a fast pass to ride space mountain !!! Ridiculously grateful thank you so much for improving our entire experience. In my personal opinion it’s a shame that the situation had to be salvaged at all but it was...

We ate at this restaurant during the Thanksgiving weekend on Friday night. As my husband.and I and our daughter age 9 entered to be seated the host was not very polite and it felt like he.put us.in the worst seating with traffic on either side of us and he acted.like he didn't care. We had a pre arranged birthday celebration for our daughter and the atmosphere was not very welcoming with smiles.. The waitress acted like she didn't want to be working there which did not make.us feel good. This was unusual for Disney. The waitress appoligized for the bland tasting.food and said that the restaurant used to be a cafeteria style and now they were charging seperate $ 45.00 meals for adults. Our daughter had mac-n-cheese for.$22.00 which put me.in an off mood from the start. Total rip off! The food was.very bland.and even though the tickets to the famtasmic show were worth the expense.the food was awful for how it tasted.and it left bad feeling.in our stomachs. The desserts were very good though but the main course was something I would never want to eat again. I had shrimp skewers and steak. The shirmp tasted dry and old. The steak had a taste worse than hospital food...sorry. The customer service reservation person had made a mistake the day before with cancelling our original reservation at the Blue Bayou and with a days notice they gave my daughters birthday celebration a new.reservation at this restaurant. I was so disappointed that our original reservation that I had called in two weeks earlier was cancelled. We ate at this place to also get tickets to the Fantasmic show. To our surprise the customer service people showed up at our reservation and gave us.some autographed photos of Rapunzel and Micky and Minni us some fun cookbooks and apologized for our trouble.which was nice. After dinner we should have gotten our money back as it was offered to us however customer service.showed.up and apologized. I thought that was a.nice gesture but I should have taken our money back from the bland not so fresh...
