Today my son, his friend AND I went up to GameStop to exchange a console he purchased on 7/5/22. While waiting the cashier says, "I can help whoever's never in line." So we went up to the counter. She never mumbled a word to us or said hello, nothing. I'm CERTAIN IT WAS OUR SKIN COLOR THAT WAS BOTHERING HER. She wouldn't even respond to me, not really only making the condescending facial expressions. I asked her for her name and she told me I don't have to give that to you. All three workers were wearing badges. She covered hers. I've been coming to GameStop since my boys who are now 15 and 12 were old enough to ask for video games? This young lady was so rude. I hadn't even gotten out of the store and she was talking about me to another employee, so I came back and asked for the corporate number from Ryan and another worker. Ryan was the worker who actually answered the phone call before we went up to the store. This young lady though she was unnecessarily rude and nasty to us, white female, slender, sorry curly reddish back hair. She shouldn't be working in customer service at all. She called the police on me as well, without cause. THAT WAS NOTHING SHORT THAN EXPECTED 🤦🏾♀️ AMERICA NEEDS TO DO BETTER. I DIDN'T GET OUT OF CHARACTER WITH HER AT ALL, I DID ASK HER IF I NEEDED TO GO LIVE ON TIKTOK BECAUSE OF THE WAY SHE WAS TREATING US. YOU ALL MIGHT WANT TO DRUG TEST YOUR EMPLOYEES? 🤷🏾♀️ THAT MIGHT HAVE ALOT TO DO WITH IT? RUN THE CAMERAS BACK AND LOOK AT THE FOOTAGE. THERE WAS NO REASON FOR MY FAMILY OR MYSELF TO BE TREATED THAT WAY. 7 police officers for one black female?...
Read moreAfter visiting another GameStop in my area and receiving HORRIBLE customer service I was a little worried about entering this one to purchase a birthday present for myself. Upon entering the door my opinion of GameStop was changed. Rachel greeted me with a smile and asked if there was anything she could do to help me. I explained that I was not an experienced gamer and did not know what I wanted as I just bought an Xbox 360 a few months earlier. She took the time to explain and make recommendations that I actually liked. She also told me about an upcoming game that truly peaked my interest, which I pre-ordered. While there she informed me about the Power-Up club and I signed up for that as well. I told Rachel about my experience at the other location and thanked her for the best experience. I had on my birthday. If this is what GameStop is about then I will continue to keep my business with them. Before leaving I informed Rachel that I will be shopping there exclusively and telling my friends to do as well. This location my not be the closest to my home but for the service I received from Rachel and her team I will forever...
Read moreEmployees are very helpful and nice. They have a good selection of games for the 3/DS, and a good handful of Vita games as well. Even when they're busy, the employees still find the time to help, they know about current and older games, and are always smiling.
It's been awhile since I've been in a GameStop, and went back for the GoW4 PS4 pro, I somehow got a discount on their Ellie Pro membership, and have been using GameStop as my first stop for video games ever since, especially for older games on the GBA, 3/DS, and Vita. (They understandably don't sell PSP games.) That 20% savings on used games was fantastic, plus you get extra points to spend on eshop, PSN, Xbox currency, and even GameStop cupons and gift cards. It's unfortunate that the elite pro membership is ending. The pro status isn't as...
