Wild Bill Shack. Oh... I mean Shop. Wild Bills had a great selection of scale platic model kits of all kinds. Anything from Star Wars and train sets. With all different kits of classic and modern vehicles and WWII scale aircraft from all sides. German Panzers, American Sherman! Great selection.. but the most unorganized shelves I have ever seen. Different types or kits thrown about on every level. The coustomer service was flat out Not there! Besides from being less than helpful. Not a one had any kind of knowledge of the very modeling products they were attempting to sell. They had absolutely nothing for sale or any kind of deal throughout the entire shop. My experience wasn't all bad. After searching through all the outdated paints and digging through 100s of disorganized kits. I was able o find a very nice kit that was a good price. Also the one and only helpful and knowlegable person working there was very help and a very good staff. Checked me out quickly and I was on my way. I went 20 minutes out of my way to see what Wild Bills was all about. I found a run down hobby shop with sorry to say "but Wild Bills is a sub-par hobby shop." However there r good things about it but changes must be made. Read moreDropped my tmaxx off with them on 5/15/22 for a new engine and a good cleaning. I supplied ALL the new radio system and engine. They called a week later saying I need to pay up front, no problem. I went in on 6/3/22 and paid the $258 for labor. Couple months go by and I decide to go check in, engine is in and running but there's transmission issues. No big deal I just wish they'd of called so we could of moved forward. We both spent some time in August looking for a transmission for the tmaxx 2.5. I went in to talk to them in late August to ask if a tmaxx 3.3 transmission will fit. They said yes it will drop right in no problem. I offered to pay for the transmission up front so we can finish it up and they said that's not necessarily. Was told it'll be ready in a couple weeks. Heard nothing for a month so I went in to see what's up in late September. I was told philip, the mechanic, had been working at other stores but would be back the following week and finish my truck that week. I waited 5 weeks which brought us to today 11/5/22. Went in to find out what the hecks going on only to find out they NEVER even ordered the transmission. My truck was there 6 months and I paid in advance and still don't have a complete running truck. Before I walked out of the store on Saturday I asked the lady behind the register “…if I bring back an unopened box or product can I return it…?” She immediately replied with a “yes.” Little did I know that in the fine print if their receipts it states that you will NOT get your money back but ONLY store credit. I asked graciously to please override this and allow a credit back to my card (you KNOW they’re able if they want to). She went to the back to ask a manager, the manager was very short and unprofessional. He said “…we can take it back with 25% restocking fee…” I attempted to plea with him only to walk out of there with a 20% restocking fee. This, only after taking their product for a two day trip back and forth to my house WITHOUT opening or using any of the products. They literarily pried out of my hands close to $60. Unreal. I had two options, to leave behind $60 or take home a $360 gift card only God knows when I would use again. Unreal experience. I will stay away from this store as far as I can.
