There is alot of negative comments about the Lazyboy store in Green Bay, WI and so much so that my wife and I almost did not go to buy from them. But the Lazy Boy excellent reputation overwhelmed our misgivings and we traveled the two hours that it takes us to get to Green Bay from Ellison Bay. I am so very glad we did.
When we arrived we confronted the staff about the negative comments regarding their in-store service and delivery services. Both concerns were put to bed as the new staff explained that there had been a shift from a corporate cookie cutter approach to a more individualized approach regarding in-house sales. Also, they stated the delivery service problems logistics had been solved.
That was comforting and we proceeded to examine the type of lazy-boy recliner which I required due to a serious medical illness. We found it and, after a very serious discussion about pricing and the current sale of 30% off decided to double check the internet to see if there was not a better offer. At that point, the sales person stated she would meet any price for the same chair including fabric, etc. I made sure I understood the agreement and proceeded to my computer a few hours later and within four hours I identified the exact chair and another chair I really wanted but was very expensive and beyond my means to purchase.
We returned the next day and presented the fruits of our labors and sure enough we were able to get the chair we really wanted for an astounding $1200.00 off the retail price and about 900.00 of the sale price. We bought and another sales person honored the deal made the day before.
We were surprised to also find out that the chair could be delivered in two days. Remember, we live 2 hours from Green Bay and this we knew was very fast deliver service. I was very happy because my medical illness had effectively cut my sleep in half for almost two months and I needed good REM sleep that I knew I would get from this chair. Friday afternoon we received a phone call to verify our address for Saturday delivery and soon discovered it was the wrong address for us but the right address for the Lazy-boy store in Green Bay.
The store sales force kicked into full gear and had the chair rescheduled for delivery two days later. It was delivered and set up to our satisfaction and the delivery guys moved our other chair up the stairs to another room for us.
So, I say to anyone who is looking for a good recliner -- go to the Lazy-boy store in Green Bay, WI located on Oneida street (if you pass the ABC car wash you just missed it) to get a fantastic price on high quality furniture and receive excellent delivery service.
Our experience with the sales staff and delivery staff was excellent and we could not be happier with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn January of 2015 we purchased 2 Lazy Boy Recliners. Within the first month one needed to be repaired and the service was great. The service tech that came out was helpful and fixed the chair. Today 8-10-2017 I called and wanted to set up a service call to have the same chair repaired again. When we bought the recliners we bought top of the price scale and top of the line recliners. We asked about the warranty and the sales person told us it was a great plan. That everything had a lifetime guarantee and that it was one of the best warranties around. So believing this we purchased our recliners. Again paying for not only the recliners but for the fabric protection also. When I called today I was informed that the parts are covered as there is a lifetime warranty on those...BUT we would have to pay for the labor ($109.00 for the first hour, then every 15 minutes after that). We also had to pay for shipping on the parts which would be $12.99. If, you are going to talk a big talk about that the recliner would be under a warranty for a lifetime then you honor that. It was through no fault or rough handling of this chair that it broke. The springs gave out on one side of it. Meaning this was a default in the making of the chair. And, I have to add my tags are still on the chair!! We will be throwing it in the city dump and we will NEVER buy anything again from Lazy Boy Furniture Gallery. They do not take care of their customers like they should and are only out for the sale of the product. After that you are on your own. So very disappointed with this company and the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn preparation for moving I donated my furniture to the local church, they found a good home for the pieces and I didnāt have to move them, a win-win. I wanted good quality furniture so I decided on La-Z-Boy. I went and picked out all the pieces I needed with the sales lady, who by the way was very nice and helpful, but when it comes time to pay Iām asked if I want to pay all of it upfront or do a deposit, I decided to do a deposit because there were other things I needed for my house. After I write the check and hand it over Iām told it would be 3-4 months for delivery from the order data which was late October 2020. Not thrilled but I can manage for 4 months at the worst. I called to check on my order the other day, about 4 months since I placed the order, and Iām told one piece wonāt be ready until mid-April and the rest towards the end of May. If I would have known the truth upfront I would have gone somewhere else. So now I sit in my living room on a Coleman folding chair. Extremely disappointed no one called me with an update along the way nor did they call to let me know the dates have been moved from what was agreed upon.
Update: Order date: 10/17/20 Received date: 5/25/21 Now that I've received all my furniture, it's time to update the review. When I went into the store to pay the balance, they tried to make it right by giving me a slight discount and free delivery. In terms of quality, I'm very happy with the furniture and it should last plenty of years. I can now have family members over without bringing out the...
