I completely DISCOURAGE using Betsy Meagher and Mary Corder for real estate needs. My experience with them was extremely frustrating, opaque and unprofessional. I found a property that seemed perfect for my family and decided to proceed with the application process. As someone with a long rental history and having owned two homes, I’ve never encountered so much unnecessary paperwork or hurdles when applying for a rental.

I completed all the required paperwork and promptly responded to Betsy and Mary’s requests. However, simple questions, such as asking for the move-in date, were repeatedly ignored. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and overall lack of transparency led me to believe they are more interested in collecting application fees from multiple prospective renters to boost their revenue than actually helping clients secure a home.

Despite the property being on the market for over 60 days, I never heard back from Betsy or Mary after submitting my application payment. From the very first communication, Michelle was so amazing to work with. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure we found and purchased the perfect home. Even though the cost of the house was relatively low compared to other homes in the area, Michelle treated the relationship as if it were a multi-million dollar purchase. Because houses sell so fast after coming on the market, it was a challenge to make an offer on a house before it went under contract. really good if you like shady business practices! amazing if you enjoy the property managers assigning your move out date and then getting half your security deposit stolen from you for “early termination.” oh btw this was after paying $3,000+ to break our lease per the terms laid out. they assigned the date to have us move out, which put as at moving out less than 60 days notice of termination, which i thought was out of the goodness of their hearts! silly me. the icing on the cake was getting intentionally ignored for weeks after leaving messages and emails. i would refrain from buying the property at 1436 saint francis ave unless you enjoy a money pit. very grateful to now own a home and not have to deal with disgusting thieving landlords and...
