This Mellow Mushroom location is blantantly racist. My family of 4 walked in & was pleased to see there was no one else inside other than someone picking up a to-go order, so we figured it would be a quick bite before we drive back out of state to go home. We attempted to dine in just a few minutes after 9pm (the restaurant is open until 10pm) but we were turned away by the hostess (who was actively arguing in the dining room with her boyfriend) because she said they don’t seat anyone after 9pm at this location. At 9:14pm we watched a black family of 3 walk in & they were immediately seated to dine in. My family is white. After witnessing them seat a black family after turning away my white family, I called to speak to a manager. I was put on hold for over 10 minutes until I hung up, however another family member called & was able to speak to the manager, (if given the accurate information/name) Mia. Mia was extremely inexperienced & did not know how to address the problem. She only said that she was sorry & told us the hostess who addressed us in that manner is named Melissa (if given the accurate information/name). Mia never offered a solution to earn our business back or make us feel any better for the mistreatment my family received from her employee Melissa. Melissa needs to be removed from her position as she does not need to be working in customer service. She lacks the manners to address the public, considering she’s the first person you’re greeted by. Read moreI ordered lunch for myself and a coworker and when I arrived to pick it up, they made the wrong salad when I asked for the other salad. The black guy said salads are made to go so I'd have to wait for another salad and he can't guarantee how long it was gonna take, so basically, he wasn't going to make me a priority so I ended up leaving with the incorrect salad but when I got to work, they also made my calzone incorrectly. I paid for toppings and I didn't get toppings. It was a cheese calzone, I added extra topping and paid for then didn't get them. I didn't try it until late in the day and I was busy at work. It was not good, so I didn't eat it . the following day I called to let them know that my calzone was wrong And the black woman who answered the phone, said that she didn't believe me because I didn't call the same day and that she was going to talk to the guy who I picked my order up from the previous day. It was a young black man, who was working at the bar And she said she was gonna call me back. She was laughing on the phone, condescending and disrespectfully and I just knew I was not gonna get a call back from her and I never did. I spend good money at this mellow mushroom, but I will never eat there again and I would not recommend anybody go there. Their customer service is poor , it's in a bad area and I ended up having to throw away the food because it was just no good. I think if a customer calls you and tells you they have an issue. Read moreI’m extremely disappointed with the service provided by Mellow Mushroom at their Buckhead location. I submit my order via DoorDash over two hours ago, and when my dasher showed up to retrieve my order, the hostess claimed that “they never received it” even though I have proof that Mellot Mushroom Buckhead did indeed confirm my order in the app. Then, she proceeded to rudely speak to both myself and my dasher and claim that it was my “dasher’s responsibility to submit my order” on my behalf (which is not how food delivery apps work - by the way). I also can confirm that this exchange happened because I could hear this extremely rude hostess over the phone as my dasher was attempting to smooth things over. Two hours later, I still haven’t received my order and Mellow Mushroom will not accept my calls - or when they do, I’m placed on hold indefinitely. In the meantime, doordash corporate has reached out to me directly to apologize on behalf of the restaurant and reassure me that they’re doing everything to rectify the situation. It’s clear that the restaurant failed to plan accordingly per the flow of orders they received on a busy Friday night, blamed their vendor AND customer for their failures, and are now attempting to ignore the situation rather than take responsibility for or correct their mistakes.
