Atlanta Tech Village - Buckhead — Attraction in Atlanta

About 6 months ago, I rented a desk at ATV and actually liked the experience. The reason for the score of 2 is because of two issues that have happened repeatedly. The first is consistent problems with their parking validation. I've visited Octane at their location probably a dozen times on weekends. Each time, I get a parking validation from them, however it works less than 50% of the time. During weekends, parking is supposedly free for the first 2 hours (with validation). Today, I stayed at Octane for 2 hours and 2 minutes and had to pay $6 to leave the parking garage. This has happened to me at least 5 or 6 times in the past and I've probably blown $20 because of it. Today, I decided to go back into the building and speak with the security guard. Nobody at the desk and nobody answered the phone either. After waiting about 10 minutes, another guy stopped by the security desk with the same problem with validation not working. I eventually just gave up, paid the $6 and left. The 2nd issue is with their internet. The last three times I've been at Octane, the internet has been extremely bad. I've connected to not just Octane's internet, but ATV's also. Both terrible. This isn't a problem that a tech company...

When I worked in this building, I always felt safe. There was always security around and they were polite, trustworthy individuals who knew almost everyone inside on a first-name basis. There's locks on everything, so if I stayed late I knew I'd be fine. The building itself is very nice and always kept clean. There was plenty of entertainment on the main level that I never was able to take advantage of, but apprenticed that the option was there. They also had many events that Village Members were invited to which is a great community opportunity. And the coffee! If you haven't tried Octane coffee, working in the Tech Village is definitely the perfect opportunity to try it.

If you have an entrepreneurial bone in your body, and you have a passion for technology, you'll either work in this building or start your own company here. Some very intelligent and bright people work here. Pushing the boundaries of what traditional companies do and the way they think is what comes to my mind. Great place to meet for coffee (Octane coffee bar is AWESOME!) and conveniently located close to local restaurants and bars.
