Howell Mill Square — Attraction in Atlanta

Kroger is where I frequent the most when I go to this shopping center. It's a bit of a pain to get into the store as they are remodeling the exterior. But, the store itself is reliably well-kept, clean and well-ordered. The Seafood and Butcher sections are really well-stocked and staff helpful and friendly. I have had better experience with the back of store staff than with the cashiers, most of which can be sullen, not talkative (except with one another) and make mistakes as they are chatting with coworkers and not paying attention. I've never had to return a product that was spoiled or out of date. The pharmacy folks are fab! I routinely fetch my employer's meds from there and the staff remembers me, which is always nice. The wine section is good for it's small size. The produce is good, but I cannot help compare to Publix, and there is NO comparison!! (Publix has it going ON with the produce!) But, you can usually find what you need and in pretty good quality. I shop not only for myself, but for the family I work for. So, I often look for ingredients at that Kroger that I end up having to go to Publix for. There is a really good Chinese restaurant in the center, it's called Chin Chin. Walked to and from 3 different stores in or near Howell Mill Square - Starbucks, Kroger and Walmart. At Starbucks got 60 total bonus stars (a kind of cyber cash unit earned spending with money uploaded to the Starbucks rewards mobile app from a linked carf) - 10 for 2 straight days of purchasing from a Starbucks (only need to make one more visit and purchase from any Starbucks tomorrow to get 40 bonus stars) and 50 for buying a fruit refresher AND a breakfast or lunch sandwich. At Kroger bought an airtime card that I need for tomorrow at the very latest and 3 bags of multi-serve chips (1 Lay's and 2 Sun Puffs) which should get me closer to 3.5K and 4K point bonuses from Fetch Rewards (got till Tuesday to qualify for 4 different 4-digit point bonuses). Finally at Walmart got 2 Farm Fresh Time Outs (frozen heat and eat snacks). Already got $1.50 from a claimed and completed deal with Ibotta and likewise anticipating another $1.50...

It's nice to have a Kroger there, convenient to GA tech and right off the freeway but do not go to the nail shop- rude, unprofessional in the value of services and always customers with complaints. The new Chin Chin is awesome... quiet, cozy and great food. Mama Mia's pizza doesn't score high on food safety but not sure why... we always went there and it seemed pretty clean... very quiet and friendly, family atmosphere and good food. Kroger just depends on the day and what you're looking for... different mgt team and the improvements show in every department. Staff is friendly.
