Lenox Massage & Spa — Attraction in Atlanta

The facility was clean and the staff was somewhat friendly. However, the massage was below average and felt like such a waste of time and money. I would recommend going somewhere where the staff is actually trained, not just rubbing on your body for a hour and ignoring your complaints.

UPDATE TO STAFF RESPONSE I came yesterday, April 13th, around 2p with my partner. Also, it’s very hard to believe you haven’t had any recent complaints based on the service provided. It seemed like it was the usual service given plus since we’re adding on during the massage it wasn’t serene at all. There was music blasting from the store next door over the music in the room plus the massagers got us up by yanking off the towels off our eyes and clapping their hands even after we were getting up. Maybe if you were to ask us about our experience while we were leaving, I could’ve told you there instead of showing us to the door. Lastly, it’s not the best thing to offer pregnancy massages if you don’t have the necessary equipment for one to lie on their stomach (circle shaped pillow allowing the belly to fit in hole). It cause more pain and dissatisfaction from moving side to side with a pillow in between your legs. Again not a place I would recommend based on my previous spa experiences with trained professionals but I get the saying you get what pay for. I used to come here often when they first opened and they did an amazing job. However, once their business was up and running, their service and quality declined significantly. They were recently running a special so I figured I'd give them another opportunity. My friend and I got foot massages. The foot massage itself was fine. After the foot massage, they typically spend a few minutes massaging your hands, head and neck. Unfortunately, this was not the case for me. Instead of massaging my head, my massage therapist proceeded to massage my ears and thought it'd be a great idea to stick his fingers INSIDE my ears. This is not something that is normally done. Definitely experienced some ear pain after that. I informed the front desk about this and they admitted that he didn't know what he was doing. In addition to this awful experience, once I informed the front desk that I had pain in my ears as a result, they acted as if they had no idea what I was saying and there was a sudden language barrier where none existed prior to me saying I was in pain. Trying to escape liability is probably not the best idea.

I had a wonderful experience at this spa when I visited for my birthday, which led me to return for a second visit. Unfortunately, my second experience was the complete opposite. Upon arrival, the staff could not find my reservation, despite me arriving a bit early. It took what felt like forever to locate it. Once they finally did, I was left waiting for an extended period before being taken to my treatment room.

The room itself wasn’t relaxing at all – the lights were left on throughout the entire session, and the atmosphere was incredibly loud, making it difficult to unwind. Additionally, the time I lost while waiting was not accommodated or acknowledged.

To make matters worse, as I was leaving, there was a lobby full of people, and the staff chased me outside, claiming I hadn’t paid the full amount. However, when I first arrived, we made it clear that the full payment was covered by the deposit. It was an embarrassing and uncomfortable situation that could have easily been avoided if the spa had better organization and communication.
