I agree with all negative reviews.
You pay in advance a $11 ticket to wait for a line for 35min or more (even when you arrive at 10am which is when the activity begins) and then things are overpriced. We bought a very small magnet which costed $8. The lemonade had a fair price of $8. The cookies from sugar Shane’s were $6 and they’re always a good price so in not mad with them. The smalls cheese cakes were $12 each. A chicken skewer was $24 just each which is outrageous. - This was way too much. The chicken better cure all kinds of illnesses and make world peace; because with that amount of money you could just buy multiple chicken packs and have a cook out with the whole neighborhood.
When we got in, there barely were performances and I thought there were going to be more and even more frequently.
Honestly, the Korean festival and the Japanese festival were far better organized, had more activities to do for the whole family, prices were fair and lines were not bad. The panda fest organizers should contact the Korean or Japanese festival organizers to learn how to have a good activity with fair prices while being mindful of consumers.
I participate in different types of activities and festivals, which my family also enjoy. But this one was a big disappointment and a waste of time and money. I really don’t recommend it and I hate to have to give a bad review.
If changes are not made, then it’s not really worth it to participate in future events. Just like the other review said “save your money and go eat at a...
Read moreWe went Saturday night in Nashville. No cultural performances (only kpop dancing and rap), which may have occurred earlier. We were sorry to have missed it. Aside from the food we could have been at any food fest anywhere.
$20 to get in and then every food item after that was minimum $10. Sugarcane juice with pineapple was $10-$12. Meat skewers were $20 each. One tanghulu (fruit skewer covered in hard sugar coating) was $10+.
Several tents had only one person taking orders and one person filling orders. The lines for popular items were long. We waited 20 minutes after paying for two pancakes with strawberry ice cream. Then the guy wasn't calling out numbers so we were late getting ours and it was practically liquid.
There were only two to three vendor tents carrying Asian-inspired goods. Two were origami and one was cheap goods like fans, umbrellas, conical rice farmer hats, and lucky cats. The other vendors were crochet animals, bead bracelets, and plastic pins.
We are glad we got to try all of the street foods we see videos for but would have preferred more cultural experiences and more reasonable prices. Overall, we are glad we experienced it once but would think twice about attending again. Definitely would go...
Read moreThis event was a scam. the "activities"? non existent. the "entertainment"? a train wreck. the food? way overpriced, undelivered. Same vendors repeating throughout and not much variety. Overcrowded with no where to actually enjoy the food, unless you wanted to sit at one of the maybe 5 picnic tables smack dab in front of the "entertainment" stage (so loud and pretty corny). Best bet was to stand by a fence somewhere and hope that someone didn't shoulder check you as you were trying to shove food in your mouth. my boyfriend literally lost the entire filling in his bao bun because he got ran into while trying to eat and balance everything. They sold thousands of tickets and couldn't provide better arrangements??? As an asian food lover, i was so excited for this and to see/try cool things and just left horribly disappointed. Just a big money grab that was very poorly managed and underdelivered. This could have been something really cool. Such a bummer. I could have had more fun and gotten way more for my dollar just driving...
