My first visit to this restaurant back in 2023 was nothing short of amazing. The food, the ambiance, and the customer service were all excellent, which is exactly why I chose to return.
Unfortunately, my experience today was noticeably different. We were seated at 2:42 PM, well within the lunch special window, which runs from 11 AM to 3 PM. Despite that, we sat for about 22 minutes watching staff walk past us and discuss amongst themselves whether or not we had been helped. Eventually, someone did come over to greet us, and we placed our order directly from the lunch menu we were given.
Shortly after, the server returned to inform us, “Hey, our manager is going to accommodate you even though you’re ordering after lunch.” Honestly, that comment could’ve been kept to herself. We were seated nearly 20 minutes before the lunch period ended, so that statement felt unnecessary and a bit passive-aggressive.
When the food arrived, I won’t lie—the food was actually really good, as expected. The drinks, ambiance, and flavors are what brought us back in the first place. But then, one of our items, the Brussels sprouts, never came. When the server checked on us and asked if everything was okay, I mentioned it. She went to check… and then went straight behind the bar without ever coming back with an update. When the Brussels arrived, they were overly burnt and oily. By that point, we were over it and just ready to go.
To her credit, without us having to ask…. when she brought the check, she had removed the Brussels sprouts and a drink as a gesture for the wait and inconvenience. Ironically, this was the same server who earlier implied we were being “accommodated” for ordering after lunch.
Before leaving, I asked to speak to the manager—not to complain, but because I believe in giving feedback directly in hopes businesses improve. The manager apologized for our experience and graciously welcomed us back for drinks on her next time.
While I genuinely love the food, drinks, and atmosphere, I won’t be returning to this particular Atlantic Station location. However, I see they recently opened one in Roswell, GA, and I’d be open to giving that location a try.
In an era where customer service is more visible than ever—thanks to social media—I really hope this feedback is taken seriously. Great food should always be paired with...
Read moreI don’t usually write reviews, but our experience at this restaurant was so disappointing, I feel compelled to share.
On a quiet Friday afternoon, my 82-year-old mother, my infant daughter, and I stopped in for a glass of wine. The restaurant was nearly empty. My mother ordered a glass, took one sip, and immediately said it tasted off — completely undrinkable. We politely flagged the server, who said she needed to get the manager.
That’s when Luisa Gomez, the manager, came to the table — and everything went downhill.
Rather than listening or showing any courtesy, she was instantly rude and condescending. Her response? “Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay for it.” No apology, no concern that the wine might have been spoiled, just pure attitude.
We weren’t trying to get something for free — we even said we’d be happy to order a different glass of wine, we just didn’t think it was right to be charged for one that was clearly bad and barely touched. Instead of handling the situation with any professionalism, Luisa doubled down. She offered to charge us again for a second glass and said she’d maybe apply a discount on the first one. Then she walked away.
We asked for the check and never saw her again. Someone else — not our server — eventually brought the bill, and of course, no discount was applied. We ended up going inside to try and find her ourselves, but she had conveniently vanished.
The wine issue could’ve been a minor blip. But the way it was handled turned it into an incredibly negative experience. It’s one thing to enforce policy — it’s another to completely lack tact, grace, or any understanding of basic hospitality. Luisa Gomez should not be in a customer-facing role.
We left feeling disrespected and frustrated. I would never return, and I strongly suggest others take their business to one of the many nearby places that actually treat guests...
Read moreA group of eight of us came for dinner on Sunday during the long weekend (Memorial weekend). We parked in the Atlantic station underground public parking. The first couple of hours are free. We were seated upstairs on the rooftop, which had no fans but had a guy playing live music. Having no fans on a rooftop in Atlanta always surprises me because we are in HOTlanta, where it is hot most of the year. Especially with it being a restaurant, where we are eating food…. it would help keep any mosquitoes and flies away from our food. When we sat down, not sure of the gentleman’s name who was our server since he didn’t introduce himself, he just came up to us all serious and a “swag in his step”. Didn’t feel comfortable off the bat, but asked him about the menu since it was our first time. He literally just read the entire menu, haha. We had already done that. It was not helpful, but good thing the menu was pretty “small”. Because of the options and whatever else, 4 out of the 8 from our party ordered something. Kinda glad we all didn’t order too much because it wasn’t that good. We ordered the Guacamole (came with chips), Azotea Salsa Trio (came with chips), Burrito de Brisket, and Carne Asada Los Tacos (because they were out of the Carne Asada Los Fuertes). Some also ordered a couple of beers. Because of our “party” size we were charged 20% gratuity, but no where on their menu does it state that. I understand it’s pretty normal these days, but it would have been nice to have the heads up because the people in our party that weren’t eating could have just chilled downstairs in the green grass below. When we needed our server he was no where to be found. We had to continuously flag him down and at the end of our meal when we had to pay…. I literally got up with the bill and went to find him so I could pay and leave. I definitely wouldn’t be back and not sure why this place has as high of a...
