I am so disappointed in the customer service at this salon. I walked in on a Monday afternoon to get a gel manicure and a pedicure. My pedicure was awesome and my technician (Tammy) was really great.
I should have known what to expect, because when I walked in there were technicians napping and playing on their phones in random pedicure chairs. I find this to be super unprofessional for such an upscale nail salon. The floor was dirty and looked like it hadn't been swept or mopped recently. Otherwise, fairly clean and not overly concerning.
My manicurist, however, was very disappointing. I didn't catch his name because he never introduced himself to me. The first thing he did was file my dry nails very quickly, and then applied a cuticle remover that dried instantly. He then used the cuticle scissors to cut my cuticles back. He used nothing to push them back at all or soften my cuticles (oil, warm water, soak, etc.) so I felt every tug on my nails. Then he took a big chunk out of the top of my left pointer finger. I jumped, and his reaction was VERBATIM, "Well, you're not bleeding so no harm no foul, right?" NO apology. I was stunned and immediately mentally checked out. He then grabbed the polish and used the UV light to dry them. He applied lotion to my arms and walked away. That was the extent of the manicure. No other steps of the service were provided. Filed my nails, cuticle cut, polish. The menu listed the gel manicure was $27, and I was very disappointed. There was still polish on the sides of my nails, the cuticles were uneven, and not to mention the chunk taken out of the top of my finger. He could tell I was frustrated and asked what I thought. I was honest but polite and told him I wasn't happy with the service. My cuticles were starting to get dry from the acetone because of the lack of cuticle oil during the service, and when I pointed this out he put oil on each finger and walked away. I had to literally ask for a towel to wipe the dripping oil from my hands.
Once the pedicure was over I asked to speak to a manager. He was pointed out to me as the man SLEEPING in a pedicure chair across the salon. He was awakened and asked me what was wrong. I explained the service and how I wasn't pleased, and he looked at my nails. I shared that his technicians response to cutting me, and he said, "A manicure doesn't involve cutting the top of your nails so he couldn't have done that." WHAT. I explained my dissatisfaction, and he said he would go get the technicians side of the story since he apparently didn't believe me. He returned to explain that he would discount 10% of my manicure, and I wasn't impressed. I said, "I don't think this manicure is really worth $25." And he said, "The full price is actually $33." IM SORRY. WHERE DID THAT $6 COME FROM?? UP CHARGE FOR CUTICLE OIL OR SOMETHING??
At this point I asked him honestly, "What do you think of this service?" He said, "I think he did a great job." I said, "So you're telling me that a 'great' service is uneven cuticles, a cut finger, cuticle oil dripping down my arms, and polish on my skin?" He then tried to justify by arguing that his technician was super booked all the time and had been doing nails for TEN years and that the prices in the city are more expensive so I shouldn't be so frustrated with the cost. I point blank said, "The prices are higher so the expectation is higher and I expected more from this." He couldn't really argue with that, and said he'd text the owners. He walked away for 10 minutes and returned offering 20% off my nails instead. I was so exasperated and paid because I refused to argue with someone who obviously was more concerned about $30 than the customer satisfaction and making the transaction fair and right. The total for my manicure and pedicure was $63 and some change. I paid and left Tammy a $10 cash tip.
I made sure to let him know I would never be coming back to this nail salon again. So absolutely irritated with this experience. Please take the extra time to go anywhere else. Unless you're seeing...
Read moreWorst nail salon I've ever been to!!! I was lured in by the promise of complimentary wine and upscale luxury marketing. This place is anything but lush. I scheduled an appointment and I noticed as soon as I walked in that the salon looked dingy. All of the towels are stained and dingy looking. I get that the towel can still be clean and have stains but this was excessively trashy looking especially for the "upscale" environment. Dust everywhere, stains everywhere, oily handprints on the chairs etc... I was not offered any wine. All I wanted was a basic manicure and basic pedicure. Simple stuff. My nails look terrible. I noticed there were gaps in my polish so I asked the technician for a second coat of polish on my toes she came back with clear coat that was China Glaze brand- the brand you get from the dollar store! I had polish still on my toes(skin not nail) so I asked my technician to remove it. She walked away and never came back. As I was waiting for my nails to dry I noticed I still had cuticles on my nails, dirt under my nails and polish on my skin and planned to ask my tech to redo it. She never came back so I got up to speak to the front desk lady/manager about my issues. I asked to have it redone and a glass of wine. She said I'd have to wait about an hour because my tech was with someone else and offered me a 15% discount. She made a bunch of excuses that didn't make any sense. How do you excuse dirt under nails and cuticles?? Then she went to ring me up and I saw my total was higher than expected even before a discount. The front desk lady said it was because I got the "YOLO pedicure". No I did not. When I checked in I specifically marked "basic manicure" "basic pedicure". My technician tried to upsell me as expected but I made it clear I wanted just the basics. No part of my pedicure seemed like anything "extra", quite the contrary actually. I work in the service industry so I get how things don't always go great and tried to be as respectful as possible but her overcharging me really pissed me off. The whole thing was a disaster. My 5 year old cousin could have done a better job. I will be redoing my entire mani pedi at home now. I attached a picture of the "finished product" of my pedicure. The whole experience was only 40 minutes long (including my time speaking to the manager) if that tells you anything about their level of care. Never have I ever spent that little time receiving a mani pedi. I strongly encourage everyone to not go here. Maybe its just this particular location but it by far the worst experience I've ever...

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Lush Nail Bar Atlantic, and it was nothing short of a disaster. From start to finish, this place managed to disappoint and disgust me in every possible way. I would strongly advise against wasting your time, money, and sanity at this nail salon.
First and foremost, the quality of the nails they provided was simply abysmal. I had high hopes for a professional and meticulous service, but what I received was a sloppy, unskilled job. The nail technician seemed completely clueless, and it was evident that they lacked the necessary expertise to do a decent manicure. My nails ended up looking like the work of a toddler who got hold of some cheap, non-toxic paint.
Speaking of cheap, the prices were anything but reasonable. I expected to pay a premium for top-notch service, but what I got was highway robbery. The exorbitant prices would have been somewhat acceptable if the outcome was remotely satisfactory, but it was far from it. I felt like they were taking advantage of customers who were willing to pay for a luxurious experience but were instead met with a shoddy outcome.
The uncleanliness of the salon was equally appalling. I was immediately greeted by a nauseating smell when I entered the premises. The floors were dirty and sticky, and the whole place seemed to be in desperate need of a thorough cleaning. It was evident that sanitation was not a priority for this establishment. I couldn't help but wonder how they could offer any service in such a filthy environment.
To make matters worse, the staff was disinterested and unprofessional. They lacked any semblance of customer service skills and seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to the customers. Not once did I feel valued or appreciated as a paying client.
Overall, my visit to Lush Nail Bar Atlantic was a nightmare that I wish I could erase from my memory. From the terrible nails to the exorbitant prices and the shocking lack of cleanliness, this place checks all the boxes for a nail salon to avoid. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a pleasant and competent nail service.
Save yourself the frustration and steer clear of this disastrous nail salon. Your time, money, and sanity are better...
