Austin Stone has three campuses (expecting to expand to four near the beginning of next year), the main one is practically near downtown and is held at the Austin High School Gym. It is definitely one of the larger churches that I have attended. There are plenty of services you can choose from which include a 9 AM and 11:15 AM worship service as well as evening worship times at two of the three campuses. There are also a variety of Sunday school classes which gives members the opportunity to directly connect with others, especially since the church is so big! In terms of demographics, most are college students from UT but there are also some young families who also attend.
Stone stands out from other churches in that it focuses on "Missional Communities" where there is a heavy effort in spreading the Gospel to non-believers. There is a "Connect" class that equips new members to spread the Word.
If you are willing to step out of your comfort zone, I would recommend you check this church out and see...

It is absolutely ridiculous that they are able to rent out Austin High School on a Sunday nearby the popular Lady Bird trail and river, thus occupying parking that should be open to people that not only support the high school through very high property taxes, but are trying to take their family down to the river and trail on a precious Sunday. This Church and the Austin School District should be ashamed of themselves. And, tell me, why am I paying taxes for schools when they are getting money from The Austin Stone...

I highly recommend that you go to this church. It is laid-back and there is no pretension or talk about tithing the entire sermon like they did at Shoreline church. ...
