A Day In Catalina Island

My friend and I had a great time during our Catalina Aerial Adventure. (Very different from the Catalina Wine Mixer.) They have a nice grassy area to hang out before our adventure. Bathrooms and lockers were all nearby prior to starting. Everyone practices first on a mini course before heading to the Beginner, Intermediate, or Advance courses. Some obstacles were harder than others on each course. I would recommend gloves because of the skinny rope gripping and upper body strength needed to balance (I think they sold for $6 here). Definitely a workout and a LOT of fun! :D

I recently visited on march 29th and went on the obstacle course and while the experience was generally enjoyable, I was disappointed with the inconsistency in enforcing height restrictions. My daughter barely made the height requirement, yet two noticeably shorter girls were allowed to participate, despite struggling with reaching the zip lines. This decision felt irresponsible and potentially unsafe. Overall, while the course itself was fine, the lack of adherence to safety guidelines regarding participant height detracted from the experience.

Subject: Raving Review for Isaac and Nicole, Our Zip Line Guides

Hey there Isaac and Nicole,

I hope this email finds you both soaring high and enjoying life as much as you made our recent zip line adventure on Catalina Island! I just had to take a moment to share my overwhelmingly positive experience with the dynamic duo that is Isaac and Nicole.

From the moment we suited up and prepared to take the plunge, it was clear that we were in good hands. Isaac's knowledge of the zip line course was nothing short of impressive - I'm pretty sure he could navigate those lines blindfolded! And Nicole's infectious energy and enthusiasm had us all pumped up and ready to conquer the heights.

Not only were they incredibly professional and safety-conscious (which, let's be honest, is pretty important when you're flying through the air at breakneck speeds), but they also managed to make the entire experience a blast. I mean, who knew that zipping through the treetops could be so much fun?

I can confidently say that Isaac and Nicole turned what could have been a nerve-wracking experience into a thrilling adventure that I'll never forget. Their expertise, humor, and overall awesomeness truly made our zip line excursion one for the books.

So, if anyone out there is looking for a heart-pounding, adrenaline-pumping zip line experience, look no further than Isaac and Nicole. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Thanks again for an unforgettable adventure, you two rock stars.

All equipment and facilities were clean, safe, and up-to-date. Each course was rated appropriately depending on skill level. Our guide, Matt, gave us a very in-depth and engaging safety briefing. All skills in navigating the course were previewed at ground-level to ensure they were understood. After the briefing you get about an hour to navigate the courses at your leisure while various guides were positioned at ground level observing.

The guides were very engaging and helpful from the ground, only coming up to assist if absolutely necessary. They would walk you through an obstacle if they could tell you were struggling. Too often, these positions are filled in by uninterested teens who are distracted by their phones or talking with one another. That was not the case here - the guides were engaged the entire time and they knew what they were doing, communicating via radio as people made their way through the obstacles.

Kids and parents both had a blast and we would definitely do it again next...

Our whole family had a great time here last weekend. We had all levels of ability in our group, from afraid of heights to part spider monkey and the courses were great. For the one of us that was extremely nervous, our guide, Matt S., was AMAZING. He talked to him with encouragement and calm guidance and gave him the perfect tips at the right moments. I honestly don't know if he would have been able to complete the course without Matt. But he did, and that alone was a huge confidence boost for a kid. My other son took off like he was born in the trees, but the staff was present and attentive so I didn't worry about him scampering through the treetops while I helped my other son and fought my way through one of the Intermediate courses. It was great fun. I don't know how Matt managed to watch the whole group of more than 12 without ever letting us feel abandoned. Cheers, mate....
