Update: Returned here on 7/26/22 to pick up a load going to Florida. I wanted to get Florida so I decided I would come here hoping shipping issues improved. I was sorely wrong. Once again, over 6 hours wait and load time. I guess it’s my own fault for coming back here when in my previous review I said I’d never again come back here. A year later and no improvements goes to show leadership doesn’t care about making vital improvements. Never again will I come back.
(One Year Ago) I have been to numerous bakeries that produce for the national Dunkin Donut account and this is by far the worst. I’ve waited over 8 hours now and have finally been assigned a dock door but the request to open my doors for loading still has not occurred. What’s worse is that two other trucks in dock doors before me still haven’t opened their doors either. Every truck I’ve seen come through here has wasted hours of time for their shipment. This place needs a major top down evaluation for incompetence and inefficiency. It’s a true disgrace among industrial bakeries. Never again will I pick up a load from this bakery. I’m editing this review to inform drivers I was here over 15 hours before getting loaded and shipping bills in hand. A...
Read moreShipping office opens at 6am and is located by dock 8 in the corner of the building. Walk in under the lean-to and push green button by the door and wait for the door to unlock. Walk straight through both doors and check in at window. Trailer must be precooled prior to arrival or will be delayed on getting loaded. They will call with door number. Slide axles back and open doors and back into dock and nap for 2-2 1/2 hours. They will call again to go back in office to sign paperwork then pull out of dock and close up trailer and they will come out to seal the trailer and hand over paperwork. Adjust axles and be on your way. Not that difficult. Yes sometimes there is a wait for a dock(especially if you are late), yes loading is a little slow but patience is key, you give them attitude they will make you sit and wait so be patient or be forced to have...
Read moreThey even not deserve 1star Terrible place to get loaded. Showed up on property at 3 pm for a 5 p.m. appointment. Got a door at 8 p.m. ; it's now 11:25 p.m. and I'm still not fully loaded. Good luck coming here driver. Update : I was at 50% loaded and they just had a shift change , now the guy come he said 2 end shipper start loading 2am so the other guy didn't finish. This place is a joke, nobody cares about the job, just clocking in their hours and going home. So far it is the worst experience for picking up a load in my entire trucking career. Also very rude people! No knowledge of anything Harlan Bakeries that can't seem to figure out how to load trucks. I think it's time you seriously think about replacing your shipping crew and get a new experience crew in here that knows how to...
