I recently visited the Rural King Gun Barn with my dad, who was interested in purchasing a specific firearm. Upon arrival, we observed another gentleman being assisted by the employee, who was answering all of his questions and showing him various items with a friendly demeanor. However, when it was my dad's turn, the experience took a disappointing turn.
The employee seemed disinterested in helping my dad, barely speaking to him and acting as though it was a hassle to show him the items he was interested in. This treatment made me uncomfortable, and I ultimately suggested we leave, as I didn't appreciate the way my dad was being treated.
Despite my reservations, my dad called back later because he really wanted the specific gun they had on sale. During this call, the employee's tone was noticeably different--he was much more helpful and even apologized, saying he didn't mean to offend us. However, I can't shake the feeling that this apology was only offered because I had spoken up about our experience in the store.
While we didn't end up getting the gun, the initial treatment left a sour taste in our mouths.I hope the staff at Rural King can take this feedback to heart and treat all customers with the same level of respect and...

I live closer to the Avon, IN store than where I purchased them and they would not refund me, they said I have to take it back to the same store I bought them. But I knew I had the last chicks at the store and they are all rural king. I donāt really think that is right. I had to drive over a hour back to Terre Haute. Ridiculous that they canāt help the customer that spends lots of money between the 2 stores. I guess I will be going to the local TSC that is on the same page with the other stores. Gotta call Tuesday saying everything was good and to come pick it up. Went the following Sunday to get the gun. After the rep got the gun from The back and had me sign. Another lady came to verify. She reads him something off computer, he says whoever put the info in had put the expiration date 1 number off (Rural King employee)! How did the feds approve it then? Told me I had to start over. When I asked for my 40 $ bucks back he said we can only give you 30$ for Layaway fee!!!!! I told him you messed up i should receive everything I gave you. He refused said store policy.
