The owner is extremely rude and sneaky, as he secretly added extra charges to my transaction. Fortunately, I checked the receipt details after paying today. I went to the store to drop off a package, knowing they donât provide free sealing services like other stores. So, I planned to purchase tape from them.
There was a gentleman ahead of me being assisted by the owner. Seeing that I only needed to make a quick purchase, the owner asked the gentleman if he would be okay with letting me pay for the tape first. The gentleman kindly agreed, and I thanked him.
I paid using Apple Pay with my credit card, but shortly after, I noticed two additional charges on my receipt besides the cost of the tape: a $2 service fee and a $1 transaction fee, both of which were taxed. I asked the owner why I was charged a service fee, and he claimed it was for âcutting the line.â This was the first time Iâd ever heard of such a fee. I explained that I never requested to cut the line and insisted that he refund the service fee.
Initially, he refused, but I argued that he hadnât informed me about this fee beforehand, nor had he mentioned the transaction fee for using Apple Pay. After some back and forth, he finally agreed to refund the transaction but asked me to repay using a debit card, explaining that there would still be a transaction fee for debit card payments. I told him I only had my credit card linked to Apple Pay. He then insisted I pay with cash.
I returned to my car and found a $100 billâthe only cash I had. When I handed him the $100, he said he would still charge me a $1 transaction fee because breaking a $100 bill was âinconvenient.â I explained that I had no smaller bills. The tape cost is around $6, and in the end, he gave me $91.2in change. Yes, he even charged tax on the $1 transaction fee, which was completely absurd. After refusing pay for the service fee, he was very rude during the whole conversation afterwards.
The photo is the amount he charged me at the beginning when I used Apple Pay. ( not sure if he really refund for this transaction. Still showing in pending status ). I only brought a tape $6. But he added $2 service fee and $1 transaction which makes it end...
Read moreI went to get documents for a professional license in another country. I expressed my concern that they place no type of stamp that indicates that each of the documents included is part of what was being notarized. I was contacted today by the licensing authority and they are concerned that there was no indication on any of the pages stating that they were included in the notary form. Worst of all, in my previous visit, they did provide the stamp that simply says to see attached form when I got the photocopies of my passport notarized. Inconsistent, not cooperative or helpful. What was the problem with simply stamping those pages and if they arenât supposed to why do they have the stamp in the first place.
Let me clarify since their reply is inaccurate: 1. I neither demanded nor raised my voice and itâs an easy accusation to make. I did say I would never come back and I didnât even argue I just took my stuff and left. 2. My passport picture does not have a signature on it, yet it was stamped. 3. I contacted the Secretary of State and they confirmed itâs not required of the notary but also stated that itâs not illegal or wrong to do and that they couldnât understand why it was so hard to stamp the additional pages. 4. Their lack of customer service was only further highlighted in that at the bottom of the page the notary did not correctly indicate the number of pages that were being notarized, it was incorrectly dashed as if there were no other pages. This issue was a matter of just customer service and being the previous notary was not in any violation, it only further demonstrates that the people I dealt with just werenât being customer friendly. No need to make false accusations because someone has the experience that you didnât provide good customer service. You have a stamp, it wasnât illegal or improper to mark the pages but it would have been helpful and it ended up causing an issue. I asked for a paper clip and they told me they had them for sale. 1 paper clip...it is totally within their rights but itâs shows they are just...
Read moreUnpleasant Experience at Postal Annex - Azusa, CA I recently had an unfortunate experience at the Postal Annex located at 1171 E Alosta Ave, Azusa, CA 91702, and I felt compelled to share my thoughts here in a professional manner. During my visit to the store, I encountered an issue with a gentleman behind the counter who I believe goes by the name Anush. The issue arose when he expressed reluctance to assist me with sending my package due to the size of the label affixed to it. Rather than offering a solution or providing guidance on potential alternatives, he suggested that I purchase a new set of labels, which would incur additional costs on my part. In response to this request, I politely agreed, intending to address my concerns later and, if necessary, file a formal complaint. Anush's demeanor abruptly changed when I mentioned my intention to make a complaint. He refused to help me any further and even asked me to leave, suggesting that I conduct my business elsewhere. When I reiterated my intention to file a complaint, he dismissed it, saying, "Go ahead, nothing is going to happen." I found this response to be both unprofessional and discourteous, leaving me with a negative impression of the service provided at this particular Postal Annex location. As a customer, I believe it is reasonable to expect respectful and courteous treatment, regardless of the circumstances. Anush's actions not only failed to meet this expectation but also cast a shadow over the reputation of the establishment. In light of this regrettable experience, I have chosen to take my business elsewhere. Azusa offers numerous alternatives, and I see no reason to return to a place where customers are not valued and treated with care. I trust that businesses should prioritize maintaining a welcoming and customer-centric environment. I hope this feedback serves as an opportunity for the management of this Postal Annex location to address the issue promptly and ensure that future customers do not encounter...
