Pirate Adventures Hyannis — Attraction in Barnstable

Nice family activity on the water. More for ages 3-7ish. My daughter is 8 and would age out by next year. The crew were very engaging and fun. My daughter just thought they didn't look like pirates like her camp counselors on pirate day at camp. It said face painting in the description but it's a pirate tattoo and a marker mustache is you want one. I would say opt for the sword option vs the hook. In the being while you are waiting there is some sword play that hooks don't work with. The map, treasure hunt, cannon shoot out and limbo were my daughters favor activities. Since she is older and taught to be mindful of little kids she missed out on the treasure box. Kids had a pile of trinkets. She had two. That last thing I need is more of these little toys in my home but for little eyes it was her least favorite thing about the trip. I would have preferred little blind goody bags or have the kids come up 1 or 2 at a time. Overall we still really enjoyed...

This experience was amazing. My daughter enjoyed every bit of it. Lots of energy and very interactive with all the children. Keeping children Entertained for 90 mins is very hard but they do an amazing job. The only thing I would change is to make sure swords are stocked my daughter was upset she couldnt get one and change the "rum" which really is soda and I do not allow my child to not have soda and it was her first time trying it. Take in consideration allergies, drinks and snacks that not all parents allow, also make sure to have an alternative and ask permission before giving it to the children. Booked this for our families with 4 young kids more than a week ahead of time. We were staying about 40 minutes away. We left on time to arrive 30 mins early as recommended. Half way into our drive there, I received a call that they had a staffing issue and were canceling our boat trip. They offered to re-book us 4 hours later, but that was too long to occupy the kids in Hyannis, especially if we needed to anticipate another cancellation. They were very apologetic, but it was very short notice, and we were all very disappointed.

ETA This was the first tour of the day so it seems like they should have been aware of a staffing issue more than 20...
