Let me take you to the beginning, because that's always the best place to start...
Once upon a time in 2013, my husband bought me my very first LV bag, a bag that is so coveted and loved by me. It was one of the happiest evenings of my life. Since 2013 my handbag collection has grown. I always though that LV would be my 1st choice for handbags and that I would pass them down to my nieces or future daughter-in-laws when the time was right.
BUT...
Earlier this week as I was sitting waiting for someone I was meeting, I looked in my bag and saw that it had ripped. I never heard it rip, I don't put anything heavy in the bag, don't put water in the bag, and all of a sudden it ripped. If you look at the pictures, the rip doesn't look like wear and tear. It looks like poor craftsmanship.
I brought the bag into the store. The store associate didn't look at the damage closely at all and started to look stuff up in the computer. After several minutes he says to me that it's $480 to fix it. And that it would not be free because I bought it in 2013. Had it broke in 2014 they would have fixed it but because it's 2018 they will not. So what he is saying is that, your handbag should last you one year, but beyond one year you are luckily if you still have a decent handbag that you spent thousands on.
$480?! Roughly 30% of the price of the bag new? Why would I pay that? Also, why would the store associate not look at it closely? I'm so disappointed. My husband buys me a new bag almost every year, at $2,000+ for their bags, and me being 40, and having at least 20 to 30 more years of life ahead, maybe more if I'm lucky, Louis Vuitton is losing a large client in me.
I will not buy another bag there again. With all the choices in luxury bags, I don't need to be treated this way nor should I have to worry about buying a handbag from a company that doesn't care about their customers. The two sales associates that I interacted with at this store acted like they were holier than - remember Pretty Woman? When she went in the store the first time? That's what they treat you like.
I hope it's just this store in particular and not at LV stores, but I'm out as an LV...
Read moreI would like to personally thank Vitta at this location! She is by far the best SA I have come across this far. I was looking for a birthday gift for my sister and wanted to get her a pouchette cles. I went on the LV site and of course they were out of stock. I was told I was going to get contacted by the ATL, GA location and days went by and I was never contacted. I called customer service again hoping I could get my hands on one. They transferred my request to Rodeo Drive and I am so happy they did! The very next day I get a call from Vitta, she was so helpful. I was asking questions and trying to get her opinions of which print I should get(ended up with the Damier Ebene). Vitta made me feel so comfortable, she made me feel like more than just a sale and that is what I appreciated the most. At the end she asked if there was anything else I was interested and I mentioned this specific print( Damier Graphite) that I don’t see that often and told her I doubt it was available- would you believe she puts me on hold and THEY HAD IT! Of course, I included it in my order. She packaged my sisters box and included a card and small shopping bag of course with the classic blue ribbon. My sister loved her gift and I couldn’t thank Vitta and her team enough for pulling through and getting this to me all the way in CT in time with all the bad weather in the recent weeks. She also included her business card and welcomed me to texting her if I wanted to make a new purchase instead of going through all that again. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME,...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Louis Vuitton store in Beverly Hills with my best friend, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional—thanks entirely to Anthony David, the store’s VIP Ambassador.
We were connected to Anthony through the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, and from the moment we stepped foot in the store, we knew we were in the best hands.
