**This review is for the Private Screening Room** Last Saturday, we reserved the private screening room for Moana 2. I went in with high hopes, however the event didn't come close to meeting my expectations. Most of the crowd wasn't bothered, as their ages ranged from 7-9 years old, however I couldn't get past how poor this great concept was executed. #1 - The screen ratio didn't match the output. At first the picture was too small and then (after complaining) it stretched over the boundaries of the screen. This was still better of the two and we accepted it. #2 - There was a green dot (see image) throughout the entire movie. After speaking with the bartender, this is a busted pixel that they have been meaning to fix, but they have been to busy to fix it #3 - Audio was hit or miss, especially when dialogue was quiet. There was a good amount of crackling at low volumes Service was great, minus having to leave the theatre twice to see why our food was taking so long, but I can't put that on the bartender (who was fantastic). In summary, I believe Emagine is on to something with private viewing rooms, however they definitely missed the mark on this occasion.

šŸ˜•šŸ˜Ÿā˜¹šŸ™šŸ˜Æ Auditorium #2 needs a lot of love and new seats. The buttons that raise, lower, and adjust the seats had holes in some them too. We walked in and were shocked.🤯 My friend had to help me get out of my seat. We looked behind after the movie and noticed a seat stuck with the footrest up. I checked out another auditorium and it also had torn and worn out seats. What the heck happened here? šŸ¤” How can you charge the prices you do with things in such disrepair? Makes you wonder how clean everything else is when the seats are in such monumental disrepair? The movie was excellent, but we wondered what happened to this former "top of the top" movie palace? What happened Emagine? Does Paul Glantz know how much love this location needs? Are the other locations just as bad? Even the old Roseville Theatre, or others on the Eastside, were never this bad even after having been there for dozens of decades. Don't blame COVID because I've been to other movie houses (MJR Theatres) and they are not at all like this.

Emagine theater ā€œPalladiumā€ I really enjoyed theaters when I was younger. Now that I can produce the same effect at home, I don’t go to theaters much anymore. I did work at Star theater about 20 years ago. So I know how it works. Should I be honest? I’ll just make it simple. The location to downtown is perfect. Terrible parking. World smallest food section. Omg. I’ve seen $1 theaters with bigger food section. Their food selection is crazy! Lots of choices! They even bring you the food if you order a lot and need help. Huge popcorn bin. They even have a working popcorn machine! Very unusual. Self serve pop and icee. Free refills. The chairs are reclining. Lots of space between the chairs. Audio and video are all good. The negative? Some of the chairs are torn. Probably from abuse. You must take an elevator to the theater. This theater will not hold a BIG movie premiere. Too small. If you live close, this would be an obvious choice. Like me, I live far away, there are better theaters. Still Recommend

First of all this is the city of Birmingham. I used to love the city of Birmingham. But with this encounter has now changed my view of it. First, we didn't know where to park. That was a very odd. And it caused me to have to walk a distance from this theater. Parking is around the corner across the street. Which is a parking garage. Second, when we got into the building of the theater, we had to figure out that you have to get into the elevator and go up for flights in order to get to the actual theater. And it did not have Wi-Fi. I only learned of this due to me needing to unlock my card so I can pay for our purchase. But because the place did not have Wi-Fi my daughter had to use her Wi-Fi That is a big problem for me. We went on a Tuesday which is $5 movies all day with free popcorn and drink. We were so excited. Because we thoroughly enjoy Emagine theaters. This was our very first time patronizing this one, particularly because it was the only one that offered the movie at the time we needed it. So we ordered popcorn a slurpee and a build yourself Pizza. So my daughter added the three toppings were pineapple pepperoni and bacon. But when we finally received our pizza it did not have any bacon on it. So I waited to get a refill of popcorn and while doing so I asked well spoke to someone regarding the pizza. As I did so the person was very kind with send to it that are concerned was fixed. He went and got the pizza from my daughter and asked me if I would like for him to take it back and have them to add the bacon to the whole pizza. I told him yes and when we got our piece of back; not only did it have bacon placed on it but there was a huge chunks of the bacon scattered about the pizza. It appeared to look as if they just threw the bacon on it and sent it back out. By that time we were completely disgusted with our meal. But was in no mood to report it to the manager. Now because of this experience I will never again patronize that Emagine theater. It was not what we are used to from that movie chain and unacceptable. But the young man that helped us...

Today was my first time coming to this theater and I was excited to try it since I live very close it, I usually go to the Royal Oak location. I was very upset that when we came into the theater, there was not ONE person that checks if you have tickets at all. We literally walked in and nobody checked ours So that was not a very good first impression plus not very safe either.

Then we go into the theater and we have a couple that sits next to us and they were TALKING so loud that it was hard tip listen and enjoy the money. I went to the lobby to ask to speak to a manager and this thing man that was the "manager" came after almost 10 minutes to talk to me.

I explained the situation and that I eat trying to not be the one to tell them to STOP talking and I wanted for something to be done about this. He proceeded to "write" on a receipt paper with a pen that did NOT work at all the number of the seats they were in. Then he gave me a couple of Free Popcorn coupons that were not needed. All I wanted was to enjoy the movie I paid for. I have those coupons to a little girl..... bc one again that's not what i wanted.

I waited and waited and NOT one person came to stop them from talking although he ASSURED me that an usher would be coming to take care of it.

After nobody came to do anything, i finally got enough fed up that not only did i have shhh them they continue to talk loudly so i had to hey...lmk then straight up to STOP TALKING!!!!! They stopped for a bit but our didn't help.

Horrible experience, everyone was on their phones, going from seat to seat and talking.

Won't be coming back and will let everyone about...

I have been to Emagine here several times, always loved and enjoyed the theater. Large comfortable seats, ticket prices are pretty decent for the area.

However I’m extremely disappointed on this visit. Purchased tickets like normal, everything is fine. However we were sat in ā€œTheater 6ā€. Also known as The Woodward room. It is a disappointed for sure, and something that customers should be notified about when purchasing tickets.

The other theaters are large, cool and featur awesome stadium seats to the point where others heads are seated below you. No chance of seeing people’s heads and no chance of having to move seats back and forth for others to move. This is exactly why I don’t mind paying 12.50$; for a beer or 50$ for a night out here. In the other theaters it is worth it. Not even close in The Woodward room. The theater is laughable compared to the others. It is small, about 6 rows by 6 rows, features no stadium seating and the room is HOT. I am having a hard time believing this is the same theater I’ve been too.

With flat seating, I can’t recline and see over people in front of me, I have to sit stock straight. I’m not short by any means (6 feet tall). Also, the screen is much much smaller than the regular theaters. The seat rows are closer together. They have to be put down for others to pass in front of you.

In all, I’m super disappointed that they are using this as a ā€œtheaterā€. It’s a slap in the face to pay the same price to sit in this smaller, hot, hard to see theater.

At least warn me that I’m going to be in here. Won’t be...
