Had the most insane returning experience I've ever had, and sadly it was with a store I actually liked.
So a few days ago, I bought two Christmas ribbon rolls at 12.99ea, as there was a buy two, get three free deal.
Later on in the week, I realize I didn't want two designs I got. Basically I simply wanted to swap two designs I didn't like for two I did like. So December 22, 2024 at about 3:10PM, I went back to the store and asked how exchanges would be handled. They said that they require me to buy the items I want, then return the ones I didn't want. So I bought two more ribbons at 12.99 each, and then returned the two I didn't want. I looked at my return receipt and saw it was for $11 total instead of roughly being the $26 it should have been. I shrugged and went about my day because I have the holidays to worry about. But before I actually left the shopping square I looked at it again and thought it was entirely wrong.
I asked myself, "Why did I LOSE money for what essentially was going to be a design swap of items that were the same price?" I go back there now at about 3:35 PM, and I basically argue with the staff how insane it was to lose money basically trying swap two designs with products I didn't even open. They had explanations, but none that had true relevance for the bottom line. And I told them that I wouldn't be shopping there again. Anti-consumer.
And all I wanted was to swap two Christmas ribbon designs with no charges. Nothing more, nothingless. A $15 error.
To reiterate guys: don't do returns with these guys unless you willingly want to live a nightmare. Insane these people doubled down on being wrong...

Waited for over 45 min for a curbside order with a small child in my car that I do not bring into the store with me due to Covid. Finally after the third attempt to call for my curbside order I spoke to the manager Keri who said it's busy in the store mind you there were barely any cars in the lot and she would come out in a few min. I asked so a customer who's been waiting 45 min for a prepaid order is ok and she responded with there's not time on curbside orders....WOW just wow. Real customer service right there..not! I even told her I had a small child in the car. She didn't even come out some guy did and said I don't even work here (even though he had a Michaels shirt on) he said Im just helping. I grabbed my order and called corporate right away and can't even understand the person and been waiting to talk to someone else for an hour. Unbelievable and HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Read moreI went to Michael's this evening to get something framed. An employee Mickena was working there at the time of my visit. She was helping another customer get something framed. I asked how long will it be to which she responded 20 min. I figured I'd wait right there. 20 min went by I asked again how much longer she replied another 20 min. So, I waited and waited before i knew it an hour and a half went by and she still wasn't done. Carrying a conversation with the customer while working knowing she had other customers waiting. I spoke to the manager telling them the situation who surprisingly saw nothing wrong with the employee talking while working and being oblivious of other customers waiting for over an hour and a half to be helped. If she would have informed me how long it would take I wouldn't have wasted all that time watching her talk.
