If you love to walk and talk like I do, (especially with your grown up kids), then this is the perfect spot for you while you're in Bozeman. The open space area is just a short walk from Main St, so you can access the trailhead easily from there. Grab a cup of Joe to fuel up and off ya go! There are lots of locals here walking their dogs off-leash, which is cool, so you know you're on to something good. Nothing better than watching dogs run free with each other. Wait...yes there is, walking & talking with your grown up son! *disclaimer (beware of the sprinting dogs off-leash that are so darn excited, they just may run right thru you and take you out!) We had a couple of close calls for sure 😳 Oh, there's several nice benches to rest your weary knees, and hydrate, so... No excuses, get yourself, (and your kid) out here for some fresh air, and conversation. Fantastic views as you walk, ride, ski, or run...this is a wonderful way to begin or end your days here while in town! Btw, if you keep your head up while ya walk, You see some things...nice job Bozeman!

*Jaw drop* this place is stunning in fall! Honestly, I had low expectations since this was just a short hill on the side of the town. But gosh, sunsets really are stunning here. A panorama of mountains, the city in the middle with the leaves of trees everywhere being lit with the light of the setting sun. This is on the Main Street to the Mountains trail. It seems to be a very popular trail. Lots of families walking with their kids and dogs. People are generally very friendly. It can get a little windy. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Bozeman (my pictures do not do this place justice).

The connectivity of the Peet's Hill / Burke Park trail system to such neighboring amenities like the Bozeman Public Library, downtown Bozeman, and the Mainstreet to Mountains Trail system is unbeatable. Perfect for dog walks, sunset strolls, and exercise (walking, jogging, and biking) this trail overlooking the entirety of Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley is truly a jewel of an open space in Bozeman.

Beautiful little parking area that leads to the library (North) and the Galligator trail (South), and up Peet's Hill (East). We always love going up the Galligator trail, stopping at the Kagy Korner gas station for $1 Wilcoxsin's ice cream cones, then cross over Kagy and continue up Sourdough trail and back.

Beautiful view of Bozeman, the surrounding mountains and the Gallatin Valley. An easy hike up the hill for a massive payoff. We took the trail to Burke Park and enjoyed the evening at the farmers market which was a heck of a party going on with two live bands, food vendors, local farmers and artisans.

Great views and fun hill for sledding. Little parking lot so you can usually put your car there. Only downside was all the dogs were let off leash and consequently there was tons of dog bombs everywhere. Love to see the pets but they can become a nuisance if folks don't clean up after them.
