Come shop at Second Wind Sports with me - my favorite Secondhand outdoor gear store in town. Also a friendly reminder the BSF Ski Swap is also this weekend at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds

Prices are insanely high for being a used gear shop. You can get new gear for cheaper. Pictured below: - A singular snowboard binding that is at least two decades old and missing a strap priced at $124 - A dusty hat found in your great uncle’s basement without a name brand that they are asking $20 for - Your grandma’s old Snow shoes from the mid 19th century for the low price of $124

Fantastic second-hand shop for all kinds of great outdoor gear. I scored a pair of swix xc gloves for $10!! As well as some lululemon leggings & carhartt sweatpants. This is my favorite place to hit up first anytime I come to Bozeman. I always find something amazing. Their boots & bottom layers selections are particularly good.

Second Wind Sports is a consignment store. Serving the Bozeman community for almost 30 years. All sales are final because we are selling items for others. The consignment rates are some of the lowest you will ever find! The sheer volume of items that go through the store make it impossible to not make a mistake once in awhile with regard to condition. This is not an excuse just a fact. We do our best. We also offer to let you check something overnight if you arrange it beforehand. We try to communicate this but feel free to just ask us as well. We love pets but ask that you not bring them in the store as it is smal and yes a crowded space. We would never knowingly refuse a service dog. Ever! We use to let pets in but had a situation where a dog nipped at a child. That’s when we made a policy change. Yes the owner can be a little rude once in awhile. She can also be kind, funny, and caring. After almost 30 years in business she has seen and experienced many things. Some of which have changed how she looks and deals with the public. We purposely have only one phone line. Business 101 is take care of the customer in the store first. In order to keep our consignment rates low, we can not provide the same over staffing you might find in a regular retail store. Our staff has been trained to be helpful but to multi-task. The mission of SWS has always been to consign and sell quality used sports equipment at a fair price. Obviously fair price is in the eye of the beholder. All we can say is, we have sold a lot of gear in 29 and a half year's. We will continue to try and please our customers and hope that the majority leave having had a great experience . Our apologies to those of you we have offended. It was never our intent to have anyone...

Prices are outrages!!! I understand it’s consignment but consistently I’ve gone there and found majority of the items I’ve looked at priced higher than what you can buy them for new online. I’m very surprised other people think it’s such a good place. I’ve told myself multiple times it’s a waste of time going there but every once and awhile I give it another shot and immediately I’m reminded why I don’t go there. I don’t think it’s just a little over priced I think it’s INSANELY over priced, like not even remotely reasonable. Every time I’ve gone I’ve found that almost every piece of gear I look at is as expensive or a lot of the time MORE expensive then brand new……. Like what….? Grossly disappointed with this place. And it’s nasty in there, so much of the gear is just trashed and so dirty, I can’t imagine paying $189 for something that’s just super used and gross when you can buy brand new for $200….. or paying $175 or $99 (again that’s trashed) for something that cost $145 and $98 brand new. I see so much of this every time I visit. I needed a UL backpack and found TRASHED HL packs for $298… my brand new HL pack was $300… so I buy a (I guess new) ULA pack from them for $158, then found out they are only $145….the one somewhat clean REI pack I found that I thought was somewhat reasonable I find out has a massive tear/hole in it and still prices and like %60-%70 of original cost. Same with the clothing and down jackets…. Most are priced the same or more then brand new….. I’ve wasted my time 3 additional times trying to convince myself they a reasonable but again I’m immediately...

I bought ski boots here about a week ago. I had used them one time and realized that they didn't fit properly and hurt my feet. So I brought the boots back to the store to see if they could do anything for me. I started started talking to the gentlemen at the cashier desk and then a women stepped in who I believe to be the manager or owner and was completely rude to me. I didn't walk into the store expecting any money back or even a exchange I was just wondering if they could help me in any way. The women refused to give me any sort of exchange and told me that they could put it back up for sale but they would take 30% out of a hundred and that the boots weren't worth that much and a waste of our time. I had agreed to the consignment and after that she was still very rude to me. I then decided to go look around the store for a new set of ski boots. As I was looking in the boot section the same rude women came up to me and told me to clean up all the boots that were on the floor even though I didn't try on half of those. She was still VERY RUDE. And i will NEVER purchase or suggest this place to anyone I know. I have NEVER been treated so POORLY. And I work in the hospitality business. I would try play it again or another store that has friendly staff and will not rip you off if you accidently buy a bad product that they...
