My husband and I are COMPLETE opposites. There was a point in our Branson vacation when I wished we had actually taken separate vacations!I never had been to a magic show before, and I wasn’t really interested in going.Wow!!I was just in complete awe throughout the experience, and it was quite the experience. There was a man sitting next to us who had been to see Rick Thomas 15 times. We spoke to him before the show began and I kept thinking, how could someone watch the exact same show 15 times?!As the show progressed,I could definitely see why.We later found out that there was a man in the audience that had come to the show over 100 times!Without giving spoilers to the show, and to keep a long story short-this will be the show my husband and I will be coming to each time we’re in Branson.I literally couldn’t sleep that night.I felt so inspired. If you don’t think you’re into illusionists, come for the dancing! The choreography, costumes, and set design are just incredible!I bet by intermission though, you’ll be converted to an illusionist enthusiast as I have now become;)My husband and I bumped into Rick Thomas after the show on our way out.He had to be around 6’3”ish,but he moves like a graceful cat on stage. The dancing is just so beautiful.I can’t imagine the amount of work and rehearsal that goes into a show like this.I’m just truly grateful not to have to go all the way to Vegas to see a show of this caliber.I guarantee you that this show is an experience the entire family will enjoy.Go see it!You won’t be...
Read moreFamily and I went to see Rick Thomas perform. It was super awesome and destroyed Kirby Vanbirch who we saw a few years back. Kirby was slow, weak and seemed annoyed just to be there... and then he spoke... A street cred looking magician should not sound like a little girl talking. Rick on the other hand completely looked, played and sounded the part of a pre modern-era steam punk wizard. Kinda like something from a modern version of the Wizard of Oz. Sure Kirby made a Helicopter appear on stage too, but the nothing else happened. Rick utilized the copter throughout the show... even up to the end. He also has stopped using tigers due to all the issues surrounding their conservation and use in shows. As a change he has two HUGE fluffy white dogs as his stage animals, along with some birds. His tricks are great, and having had experience in street and stage magic myself, there were a few that had me stumped as well, so all in all a great show. It does lose a star due to the theater itself not being thoroughly cleaned... My wife sat down on a bunch of chocolate and got it all over her white shorts... I hope it comes out and...
Read moreWhat a disaster. This theatre does not accommodate the clientele that make up the Branson show "scene," the elderly. As my father 85 1/2 put it, "He had to park in Arkansas and walk up hill to get to the theatre." He had to stop 3 times and rest on the fenders of cars before he made it to the front. Then they could get down the steps to their seats because it is so steep and there are no handrails to hold on to going down the steps. He left the show early to go get the car and told the party he was with he would pick them up where he dropped them off. However, he could not do that because tour buses were parked all along the area, blocking the entire area where you could pick up people. NOTE: My parents are very active, have an acre-plus yard they take care of themselves, Mom works... Very disappointed they pd. over $100.00 and really didn't get to...
